In the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, Tunisia lost 1-0 to Mali, but the referee on duty, Sikazwe, blew the final whistle in the 89th minute of the match. This sparked resentment among tunisian players and protested. Tunisia then offered to replay the game.

After reviewing the Tunisian team's protests and reports from the official on duty, the NFC confirmed rejecting Tunisia's protests and maintaining the result of the 1-0 Match in Mali.
