The mighty fire truck in the picture above is the protagonist of our article today: the Luxenbauer Tigon industrial fire truck. Its name comes from a combination of the English words Tiger (Tiger) and Lion (Lion), suggesting its excellent firefighting performance.
At first glance, the vehicle looks like an airport fire truck, and the chassis and vehicle tops are highly integrated, which is very beautiful. The car uses the Tathraforce military truck chassis and is driven in 8x8 form. If needed, Ruhsenberger can also offer a 10x10 version of Tigon. The engine of the vehicle is a TADO164VE-B engine from Volvo Penta, with 700 horsepower, Euro 3 emission standards, which can basically be regarded as an industrial version of the D16 engine, with better durability and power sustainability. In addition, it is paired with the Allison 4800 automatic transmission and the Tetla custom transfer case for enhanced power performance. The front of the vehicle has a strong military card style. The bumper of the vehicle is equipped with a Luxenbauer RM15C water cannon with an output of 10 bar, a flow rate of up to 2,000 liters per minute, a rotation angle covering 330 degrees in front of it, and a range of up to 70 meters.

The foam mixing system uses the FIXMIX 2.0 pressure foam proportional mixing system and the Hydromatic 800 balanced foam proportional mixing system, which is adjustable from 1% to 7% and can fine-tune the water-to-foam ratio of each outlet. Controlled via Luxembauer's own Logic Control System 2.0 system, the water pump can be easily adjusted via an external control panel or in the cab.
The right rear of the vehicle is equipped with some scattered fire fighting equipment and equipment such as water hoses, also with foldable pedals. It can also be seen that due to the presence of oversized off-road tires, the body protrudes outwards for a long time, and has a reflective sticker to enhance the warning effect.
The equipment cabin arrangement on the right side of the vehicle is not much different from the left side, the same is the water belt, water outlet and other components, the difference is that there is less pump control panel.
