On January 12, the original drama "Masare's Spring" of the realist theme of the grand theater premiered at the Beijing 9 Theater (Che CHE Action Theater). The drama is a 2020 funding project of the Beijing Culture and Art Fund, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Chaoyang District Party Committee, the Chaoyang District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Chaoyang District Jinzhan Township People's Government, and produced by Beijing Houlang Culture and Media Co., Ltd., and will continue to perform until January 15.
Focus on realistic themes
The story of the play takes place in a place called "Masaray" in Beijing's Chaoyang District, and the story revolves around the rural relocation of residents in the "Masaray" area. Prior to this, the residents of the "Masaray" area had already moved to other places because of the "coal to electricity policy", which led to the relocation of "Masaray" to an "empty village", which brought great difficulties to the demolition and relocation, but also injected deep drama into the play.
Li Xiaoman, who works at the village committee, hoped to organize the big guys to carry out the demolition work smoothly, but he did not expect to encounter unexpected layers of obstacles. Some claim to have mastered internal policies, breaking the villagers' trust in the village committee; Some people want to secretly increase the area and make the demolition work difficult; Others died of illness, bringing new difficulties to the relocation. All of this has made Li Xiaoman and the decades-old nostalgia of this land undergo repeated tests in the process of relocation, and many ridiculous stories have also come into being.
In order to tell this "Beijing story", the crew spent up to five months to conduct research on the style. The archetypes of the characters in the "Masaray" region and their stories provide the show with real emotions, rich dramatic conflicts and exuberant vitality.
Transmit heart-warming energy
The drama "Masaray's Spring" tells the story of the Beijingers themselves. The story begins in the 70s and settles in the present. The play explores the background of the times, people's material life is indispensable, but the most valuable wealth is not the house and money. Demolition can solve the "hardware" problem of housing, but it cannot deal with the "software failure" of human warmth and cold. Planner/Chief Producer Tian Xu said: Compared with the hard house, emotion is something that cannot be touched, and it is also the softest and most rigid force, which is what "Mazare's Spring" will lead everyone to find.
In this work, the relationship between material civilization and spiritual civilization in the context of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way is explored. The audience can not only see the wisdom of the people, but also feel the warmth of the world, and can also see the loss of people and the return after in the face of great interests. Stimulated by "demolition", the contradictions in the former neighborhood have escalated layer by layer, and the way to resolve the contradictions is hidden in the most simple and unpretentious chai rice oil and salt. Neighborhood love, husband and wife love, brotherhood, and people's desire to go to happiness lead the people in the play to come to "spring", and also lead the audience to feel the warm sun like spring in the cold winter.
The drama "Masaray's Spring" grasps the theme of the times, adheres to the people's position, and depicts the picture of people's livelihood in the new era, and the taste of life in the process of relocation and resettlement in the play is the epitome of China's new rural construction. Through the theatrical theme of "relocation", the play leads the audience to "build" a warm spiritual home in the hearts of the audience by searching for and pursuing the true meaning of life, transmitting the positive energy of the times.
