The Telegraph: Newcastle discussed Van der Beek on loan and the players were unhappy with their playing time at Manchester United

According to the Manchester Evening News quoted by the Daily Telegraph, Newcastle discussed Van de Beek's loan.

Since joining United, Van de Beek has struggled with his place in the squad and Lonnick seems to prefer other midfielders to the Dutchman, who has only started four games this season.

The Daily Telegraph said Van der Beek was unhappy with his playing time at Manchester United and he hoped to leave the team in the summer window, as "the richest club in the world" now, Newcastle discussed the issue of loaning Van de Beek and may seek to loan him.
