Me: The Lakers won't pick up draft picks for Jordan Jr. and Bazemore

According to NBA reporter Michael Scotto, as far as he knows, the Lakers will not take the draft picks in order to send Jordan Jr. and Bazemore.

Last week, Windhorst talked about rumors about the Lakers' deal on the show, saying that the latter may consider sending Jordan Jr. and Bazemore away. So far this season, Jordan Jr. has played in 28 games, averaging 4.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 13 minutes per game, and Bazmore has played 24 games, averaging 3.9 points and 2 rebounds in 17 minutes per game.

If the draft picks are not used, the Lakers have $4.4 million in cash to pay for a team to take over jordan Jr. and Bazemore's contracts, sending away either of them, and the team can save $7 million (salary plus luxury tax).
