Recently, Sony officially announced the second generation of PS VR headset Playstation VR 2 device at CES 2022, taking VR games to a whole new level. However, Sony didn't reveal much about the games being developed for PS VR 2, but rumors suggest that Horizon may not be the only popular game series heading towards PS VR 2, with one of the most acclaimed virtual reality games to date, Half-Life: Alex, likely landing on PS VR 2.
XboxEra co-founder Slumshal Nick recently speculated on Twitter that Sony and Valve have reached an agreement that Half-Life: Alex will land on PS VR 2, but it is not known when it will land, after all, PS VR 2 has not yet confirmed the release date.
Originally released in March 2020, Half-Life: Alex has since become one of the best single-player action-adventure games for PC VR today. PS VR 2 is advanced enough to deliver gaming justice with 4K resolution, 110-degree field of view, and headset-based haptics, and with the PS VR 2 Sense controller, PS VR 2 probably has everything you need to deliver a head-mounted experience that rivals Valve's award-winning VR games.
Sony still has a lot of questions to answer about the new headset, such as what exactly it looks like, how much it costs, and whether the PS VR 2 will be backwards compatible. According to new reports, the PS VR 2 headset may soon enter mass production, which may indicate that it can be released in 2022.
