World number one Djokovic landed at Melbourne's Taramarin airport on Wednesday but was not allowed to enter the city, according to foreign media reports.
His father, Srgjan Djokovic, confirmed to the media that the 20-time Grand Slam champion is currently segregated in a room guarded by police.

Djokovic recently said through his social media account that he was granted a medical exemption to travel to Australia to compete in the Australian Open.
However, there are media reports that Serbs arrived in Melbourne on wrong visas, which does not support medical exemptions for vaccination. Australian border guards then contacted the Victorian government to ask them to support Djokovic's visa. But the Victorian government rejected the request, leaving Djokovic in a bind.
According to the latest foreign media reports, ATP World No. 1 is currently alone in a room at the airport and is banned from using his mobile phone.
It is worth mentioning that before that, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison had said that the Serb would have to provide appropriate "evidence" of his medical exemption or would be forced to fly home. He also stressed that there are no "special rules" for Djokovic or any other player at the Australian Open:
"We await his statement and the evidence he has provided us to support this." If the evidence is insufficient, then he will not be treated differently from anyone else, and he will be on the next flight home. For Novak Djokovic, there should be no special rules at all, no. ”
As things stand, if Djokovic can't provide "evidence" of a tangible medical exemption, there's a good chance he may not be able to play at this year's Australian Open
