Specifically, Wi-Fi 6 Release 2 adds UPLINK MU-MIMO support, allowing faster, larger multi-device on-line communication to reduce latency for gaming, video, and IoT devices.
In addition, Wi-Fi 6 Release 2 also supports the 6GHz band (Wi-Fi 6E), and a higher speed transmission channel has been deliberately added to this.
According to the Wi-Fi Alliance's estimates, there will be 2 billion Wi-Fi 6 devices on the market in 2022, and the current v2.0 certification has been supported by leading wireless companies such as Broadcom, Intel, Qualcomm, NXP, Infineon, MediaTek, etc. The first batch of Wi-Fi 6 Release 2 certification devices were launched in the first half of the year.
