On Friday, FIFA announced the shortlist of the 2021 World Footballer of the Year three, Levan, Messi and Salah successfully entered the shortlist, and C Ronaldo failed to enter the top three for the first time in 6 years.
The FIFA awards ceremony will take place on 27 January, and on 7 January, FIFA will announce the top three list, namely Bayern striker Levan, Paris striker Messi and Liverpool striker Salah.
Levan has been in the top three for two consecutive years, while Messi has been in the top three for three consecutive years, and after 2018, Salah has been in the third place again. Compared with the Ballon d'Or Three, Salah replaced Benzema, and judging from the performance in 2021, the Liverpool winger does have the strength to enter the Third Division.
It is worth mentioning that for the first time since 2016, Ronaldo has failed to rank among the top three players of the world footballer of the year. After parting ways with French Football in 2015, FIFA launched the Player of the Year award in 2016, which Ronaldo has been shortlisted for the previous five years and won in 2016 and 2017.
