IDC announced the third quarter of 2021 China storage market report, inspur full flash storage ranked in the top two in China

Jiwei Network News, on January 7, IDC announced the third quarter of 2021 China's enterprise storage market tracking report. According to the report, in the third quarter, China's storage market sales of 10.8 billion yuan and shipments of 64,000 sets, an increase of 23% and 16% respectively. Inspur Storage's sales in the quarter increased by 54% year-on-year, the fastest in China; among them, all-flash storage ranked among the top two in China for two consecutive quarters in sales.

As "green and low-carbon" becomes the development direction of new data centers, all-flash storage has become the first choice for new data center construction. At present, data center energy consumption has accounted for 3% of the world's total electricity consumption and has grown rapidly year after year, while electricity costs account for more than 50% of data center operating costs. The core of solving this problem lies in whether we can find a data storage solution that can bring low energy consumption and high efficiency, and the performance of all-flash storage far exceeds that of mechanical hard disk storage arrays and energy consumption can be reduced by up to 80%, becoming a mature and reasonable solution for building a new type of data center. According to the IDC report, China's all-flash storage market in the first three quarters of 2021 increased by 38% year-on-year, surpassing mixed flash and mechanical hard disk arrays; but its market share is only 20%, compared with the global market share of 40% of all-flash storage, China's all-flash storage still has a lot of room for improvement.

Chinese local manufacturers continue to increase investment in high-end all-flash and end-to-end NVMe all-flash storage products to meet the needs of new data center construction, and achieve large-scale deployment in high-performance applications such as high-performance applications such as finance, communications, and high-end manufacturing databases and massive data retrieval. Inspur all-flash storage ranked in the top two in China for two consecutive quarters; in the high-end storage market that focuses on all-flash, Inspur's high-end storage sales surpassed Dell EMC and Hitachi Vantara, with a growth rate of more than 300%, ranking first in China.

Inspur's breakthrough in the all-flash storage market stems from forward-looking insights into new data storage, continuous technological innovation, and stable supply chain assurance. As early as 2019, Inspur had insight into the era of deep integration of digital technology and traditional industries, and was the first in the industry to propose a new data storage brand strategy and launch the HF series of all-flash storage. Based on the flash memory native "iTurbo 2.0 intelligent acceleration engine", Inspur full flash storage can achieve tens of millions of IO balanced landing and the lowest latency in the industry, in the latest SPC-1 international benchmark, Inspur high-end full flash with a rating of more than 23 million IOPS to win the world's first place in the performance list. At present, Inspur Storage has entered the key business systems of users such as six major banks, operators, Sinopec, etc., and has become a major supplier of core industries such as finance, communications and energy.

With the rapid development of the digital economy, the demand for efficient processing and low-carbon energy saving of new data centers will continue to grow, and the all-flash storage market will usher in rapid development, with a compound growth rate of 23% in the next five years, doubling the average growth rate of the industry to become the growth engine of the Chinese market. Inspur Storage will continue to increase investment in the field of all-flash storage, releasing the value of data production factors to accelerate digital transformation.
