This woman was empress dowager dugu (posthumously), the biological mother of Li Yi the Prince of Han and Princess Huayang.
It is said that the ancestors of the Dugu clan are somewhat special, it is said that the original surname was not Du Lonely, it was originally the surname of Li of Longxi, that is, it was the same clan as the Li Tang royal family. However, during the Sui Dynasty, the family was given the surname of Dugu Empress as a reward for their great merits.
In the Li Tang Dynasty, most of the dugu clans that were originally surnamed Li restored the Li surname, and the original surname of the people was Li Ma, not to mention that they were the same as the current son, and they must have been anxious to restore their original surnames.
However, the Dugu family was not allowed to restore the Li surname because she needed to marry into the royal family. Marriage with the same surname and the same clan was not allowed in ancient times.
DuGu's father was Du Guying, an official who joined the army as Zuo Wei Wei, and after his death, because of du gu's favor, he was posthumously awarded the title of Gongbu Shangshu (Zheng Si Pin Guan in the Tang Dynasty).
