On the afternoon of March 17, in the conference room of the Green Garden Residential Area of Pengpu Town, as the representatives of the Hutai Road 883 Lane Industry Committee and the representatives of the elevator installation enterprise both signed and sealed the contract, a warm applause sounded at the scene. Xin Yi, secretary of the party committee of Pengpu Town, Zhang Jun, deputy secretary of the party committee and mayor of the town, Zhao Qing, a fourth-level researcher of the Jing'an District Housing Management Bureau, Xu Leming, vice president of the Shanghai Elevator Association, and representatives of the residents of the residential area witnessed this moment together.

There are 12 building groups in the Green Garden Community, and 12 elevators need to be installed. In 2020, 11 units have been implemented, of which 8 units have been completed and put into use, 2 units are currently under construction, and 1 unit has entered the approval process for construction. In 2021, the installation of the last elevator in Building 12 was successfully carried out, and the contract for the installation of the elevator was officially signed on March 17. The Green Garden Community has achieved full coverage of elevator installation! Pengpu Town is about to build a second community with an overall elevator.

At the signing site, Aunt He Yanfen, a 91-year-old resident of Building 12, pulled her old neighbor Qiu Meijuan and Shi Geqing, the leader of the building, to take a photo together.
Aunt He said: "For another 5 months, after the elevator is completed, I will no longer have to climb up and down three or four times a day, although my health is not bad, but it is always a little difficult to get older." I didn't expect that I was more than 90 years old, and I could still enjoy such a good policy, and the future days became more and more convenient, and it was really from 'having a home' to 'living well'."
Xin Yi, secretary of the Party Committee of Pengpu Town, Jing'an District, congratulated the residents of the Green Garden Residential Area on Lane 883, Hutai Road, and thanked the General Party Branch of the Residential Area, the staff of the neighborhood committee, the members of the industry committee and all the residents who had worked hard to promote the installation of elevators.
