3) The meaning behind the new moon
The crescent moon pattern was born in 1894, when the school was deciding on the pattern of uniforms and school hats through the whole school fundraising, and some students proposed to use the crescent moon as the main body for design. Although why the new moon was ultimately set is still a mystery, it is also said that the then principal, J.C.C. Neuton, was born in South Carolina, and the crescent element is related to the state flag of the state.

03 Meiji Gakuin University Y100
Meiji Gakuin University, or Mingxue for short, was founded as the earliest Christian school in Japan. Since it has always appeared as an EJU examination room before, it is very well known among international students. Because of the beautiful school building with a strong religious atmosphere, the degree of discussion is naturally very high.

MingXue has 6 faculties: Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Sociology, Faculty of International Studies, Faculty of Psychology, and two campuses, Shiroganedai and Totsuka. At that time, Mary E. Kidder, a missionary who came to Japan, tried to improve the educational environment for women in Japan and decided to establish a girls' school. However, in the Meiji era, when women's suffrage was not yet recognized, it was difficult for female missionaries to establish schools. Eventually, Kidder was supported by the Ferris father and son to start the school.

The logo is outlined with a shield to symbolize the power of the female students' faith to guard the female students like a shield in the School of Ladies (Exodus: New Testament Ephesians 6:16).
