The Telegraph: Newcastle is interested in Origi, Liverpool is priced at £7 million

According to the Daily Telegraph, Newcastle is looking for attacking players in the transfer market, with Liverpool's Origi and Bournemouth's Sorank targeting their striker and Norwich's Cantwell being their No. 10 target.

With Callum Wilson injured, Newcastle desperately needed to find a suitable striker. Earlier this week, they also asked Arsenal about Nketia.

Sources said Liverpool would let Origi leave if the club bid £7 million, which quickly put him on Newcastle's radar. The Belgian offered a relatively generous salary at Liverpool, which is one of the reasons why he has not completed the transfer so far.

Liverpool lost Salah and Mane due to this month's Africa Cup of Nations, but they will not stand in the way if a club sends a suitable offer and Origi wishes to leave. The 26-year-old Origi has a fairly high profile in the minds of Liverpool fans because of his heroic deeds in the Champions League. However, he doesn't have enough playing time at Liverpool, so he may consider leaving.
