Italian Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini announced the results of his campaign for the Italian Capital of Culture earlier this year, and Bergamo and Brescia, the two hardest-hit cities in Italy, were selected as Italy's 2023 Cultural Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2023.

In mid-December, the Italian Ministry of Culture unveiled the logo of the Italian Capital of Culture 2023. The adopted works were selected from 52 proposals submitted by 32 professionals, and the winning works were created by Akomi, a marketing company in Brescia.

Logos are numbers, but also letters, more like a spring, and can also be reminiscent of hugs. The distinctive red "3" in the year number "2023" is the initial "B" of the two cities, and it also has the concept of hugging and spring, symbolizing the unity and resilience of the two cities during the pandemic.

The logo was projected on the facades of the cities of Bergamo and Brescia for about 2 months, starting on December 13. Starting on the 14th, the logo will also appear on public transport stations and stations in both cities, accompanying citizens until the end of the great appointment in 2023.
