According to media reports, the Premier League Newcastle United club will bring in England international Trippier from Atletico, and the two sides have agreed on a transfer fee of 12 million pounds and floating terms.

During this winter's transfer period, Newcastle United's transfer operation has attracted much attention, and in order to complete the relegation target team must be introduced. The 31-year-old Trippier has made 18 appearances for Atletico this season, starting 15 games. According to Opta, Trippier has created 8 chances without assists and has finished first within Atletico this season.

The addition of Trippier can bring direct improvements to the team at both the offensive and defensive ends, especially the defensive end, and Trippier's rich experience can improve the problem of the team's defense. And in Eddie Howe's squad system, Trippier's cross-passing ability on the offensive end is currently lacking in Newcastle. In addition, Trippier's experience and prestige off the pitch can help Newcastle's relegation tremendously.

In addition to Trippier, Newcastle are looking to sign two centre-backs, one midfielder, one striker and one left-back in this winter window. Ginter, Jesse Lingard, Denayer and other players are all on Newcastle's signing list.
