Chengdu is famous for its leisurely "slow" life, but every time I pass by in a hurry, I can't fully appreciate its leisure. In 2016, through his father's classmate association, he took Shu Shu and his mother to Chengdu for a few days to eliminate the stop-and-go play.
Day 1 Wide and Narrow Alley People's Park Chunxi Road
Dad has always advocated "exchanging time for money", so he took a cheap express train instead of a high-speed train. Get up at 4 a.m. and take a taxi to the East Railway Station, which is already a busy scene with lights on. Sit on the K503 at 6:44, hang out, wake up when you sleep, and arrive at Chengdu East Railway Station at 9:38.
Thinking of finding a hotel to leave the luggage, in the seven days before the Holiday Inn was enthusiastic to solicit uncle "cut off", brought to the nearby homestay, looking at the community environment is not bad, the room is also clean, the price is cheaper than the hotel, immediately stay. It was already past 11 o'clock when the door was settled.
Dad was very persistent to go to the "tourist resort" wide and narrow alley to eat a famous snack, so we took the subway to Tianfu Square. I didn't expect some errors in the online raiders, let's go to one more station, anyway, it's all about hanging out, it doesn't matter if you walk around more, but some are hungry, but Dad is not moved by the restaurants along the way, and he is bent on going to the destination to eat.
Finally walked into the wide and narrow alley, I saw the "Chinese famous snack - Guo Tangyuan", and quickly went in to sit down and order food. Dragon scribes, bell dumplings, Korean buns, fat intestine powder, hibiscus shrimp, bean blossoms... Ordered a lot, but also afraid of not finishing, the result is as the waiter said "we are all small portions", the amount of servings is pitifully small, 18 yuan a copy of the copy of only 7, the taste is not bad, let us can't help but sigh the "pit" of the tourist point ah. My stomach was half full and I began to wander. The famous wide and narrow alleys, the real is two alleys, although it is not clear that the wide alleys are much wider than the narrow alleys, but it is really quite flavorful, just like its name. This is actually a commercial street, the style is a bit like Ciqikou, but it is more refined, more artistic, and more high-end. On both sides of the alley are shops, selling snacks, jewelry, tea, handicrafts, tea houses, restaurants, cafes... Scales and Zibi, "Seeking Nan", "Wide Clouds and Narrow Rain", "See the Mountain Bookstore", "Heavenly Fun", "Golden Branch Turtle Ling", "Three Ears", "Flower Room", while walking and tasting these charming store names, placed in the green brick tiles, under the eaves of the corner, as if crossing back to the Republic of China.
Out of the wide and narrow alley, attracted by an old man wielding a silk belt, accompanied by melodious music, two colored long silk belts under his dance, flying up and down, the brake is good-looking, attracting many passers-by to stop and watch, Shu Shu looks at it and does not want to go, anyway, it is not in a hurry, simply let him look at it for a while.
Opposite the wide and narrow alley is the People's Park, I heard the music inside, and I couldn't help but go inside to see. Originally thought it was just an ordinary street park, but I didn't expect that there was a deep historical origin. People's Park, formerly known as Shaocheng Park, was founded in 1911. The origin of Shaocheng Park is directly related to the naming of the old Chengdu city, chengdu city base originally had a big city and a small city, as early as 311 BC, when King Hui of Qin, Chengdu had Taicheng (also known as Big City) and Shaocheng (also known as Small City). As far as the whole country is concerned, "Shaocheng Park" is one of the earliest parks to open, and it is the first park to be opened in Sichuan. Since the park occupies an area of Shaocheng at that time, the citizens agreed to call it "Shaocheng Park".
The garden is very large, and later I saw the introduction to know that it covers an area of 169 acres, and we certainly did not visit the whole garden. But none of this matters, hanging out on bamboo trails, taking a nap in a pavilion, washing hands at a giant teapot "camouflaged" tap, taking a picture of your parents under a leafy banyan tree, feeding koi in an artificial lake on the edge of the promenade, and admiring all kinds of bonsai in a bonsai garden, everything is so leisurely. Open-air tea houses, low bamboo chairs, small tables, people sit and chat, play mahjong; in the open space, entertainment lovers blow and play, sing and dance, moving and moving, not violating at all. Coming out of another door, I saw the monument to the anti-Japanese salvation fighters of the Sichuan Army, thought of the Xinhai Revolution Baolu Movement Square seen in the garden, and truly realized that the People's Park is a park carrying history.
At this point, I can't help but think of Chongqing's People's Park, which is also a park that bears history, and recently, even excavated the ruins of the ancient city wall of the Southern Song Dynasty, but the voice of transformation has been shouting for more than ten years, but I have seen the decline of the end into a passage of the upper and lower half of the city. Loquat Hill Park is still there, but it's half parking lot. Coral Park is handed over for trusteeship, leaving the facilities old and no longer in their former glory. Willing to invest, careful management, and not lowering the standard of management and protection because of free, is the difference between Chengdu free park and Chongqing.
The last stop is Chunxi Road, a warm old man took us to the station to tell us which way to arrive, in the small talk he said that he was the oil system, spent eight years in Chongqing, talking about Shapingba, Ciqikou and so on, it seems that Chengdu and Chongqing are really "you have me, I have you" ah.
Chunxi Road should be the most commercially concentrated and prosperous area in Chengdu, just like the Liberation Monument in Chongqing, even though it has now formed a number of commercial circles, but it is the most famous. Visiting the store is not our interest, just want to look around, playing a day has been a little tired, the pace does not feel slowed down. At this time, my mother actually found that there was a free sightseeing car, sat on the car, the most happy is Shu Shu, he liked it so much, we sat twice until the driver left work. Nanping Pedestrian Street also has similar scooters, but that is to charge, Chunxi Road sightseeing car is larger, the car decoration is more beautiful, which shows the city's degree of openness and tolerance of the difference, which has become the most beautiful memory left by Chunxi Road.
After being pointed out, we found the "New Food City" next to Wangfujing (I probably remember the name), where we ate a lot and the prices were affordable. I saw someone queuing up at the roast pig's trotters on the side of the road, and I also went to join in the fun. The brine pig's trotters were roasted on the iron rack, cut into small pieces, and the soybean noodles and other ingredients were raked, soft and sticky, and the noodles were eaten in several pieces. In the evening, I was ready to eat a good meal, I found a shop that sells stir-fried vegetables and casseroles, ordered sour soup beef, garlic white meat, casserole balls, bitter melon fried meat, and also went to the next shop to buy a large bowl of chicken skewers, the dish is home-style, the skewers are not as spicy as Chongqing's spicy taste, the deepest impression is the garlic white meat, cucumber base, mixed with a lot of crispy peanuts, eating and refreshing and cooking.
After a full meal, take a ten-minute subway ride to the station, living in the East Station is a wise choice, here is a transportation hub, accessible in all directions, the next few days we all tasted the sweetness of convenient travel.

People's Park
Day 2 Panda Base
Panda base is a place we have planned to visit for a long time, the night before the Internet searched for a route, need to transfer halfway, when eating breakfast and asked the security guard of the community, he said and the online raiders are different. When I sat in the car, I asked the driver where to change at the panda base, and the driver directly said to me: "You can follow the person in front." "In front is an uncle dragging two suitcases, see what he just said to the driver, it is estimated that he also asked about the route of the panda base, the driver's uncle is convenient, let me follow him directly." So I raised my guard and sat facing each other (the seats of Chengdu's high-end cars are not all facing forward), staring at the uncle.
After sitting on the road for more than ten minutes, watching the uncle get off the bus, we also followed, and sure enough, we got off the bus to look at the road signs, and there was a car to the panda base. Talking to the uncle, he said, "No problem, I have been navigating", which is really high-tech guiding the way forward.
Entering the panda base, many people are waiting in line to take the sightseeing car, we lined up for a while, feeling far away, thinking that anyway, today's day is spent in it, slowly walking, slowly looking does not matter.
Looking at the signboard, next to the panda villa is a restaurant, look at the time has long been planned to go to the panda science exploration hall, and then go to see the panda, eat. In the exploration hall, there is not much patience for the introduction of pictures and texts, but those popular science TVs are deeply attracted to us. Each topic has a small screening room with a curtain pulled, lcd TV and a couch, Shu Shu and I have watched each film, and learned about the life habits, breeding, and research results of the base, which are more vivid than dry words and can arouse the interest of children.
Then I stopped by to see the red panda, hehe, the red panda is really not when the panda is small, it is a raccoon. Looking at a few scattered ones, crouching high in the trees, brownish red, with a thick tail, looking larger than the average cat, feeling very sharp, not as cute as a panda. Seeing that there were workers building walls, only one person tall, he asked, "Won't the red panda on that tree run out?" "No, they'll just climb trees and not jump from one tree to another." It seems that I overestimated their abilities.
Then I went to the Panda Theater, which is a small movie theater that loops a documentary about the panda base, which is very vivid and comprehensive, and adults and children are very serious about watching. We sat in the first row and read it from beginning to end before leaving, Shu Shu was very interested, and I don't know how much he understood.
Finally, walk to the Panda Villa, in the middle is the panda activity area, a large piece. The innermost is the house where the pandas live, the outside is the paradise where they play, the trees, grasses, flowers are correspondingly interesting, and the logs are built into a platform like a high and low boardwalk, the pandas walk or take a nap on it, and tourists walk around the low wall and look at it while walking. There are more pandas here than in Chongqing Zoo, and the venue for activities is also larger, and we even saw a panda chasing a peacock to play. At this time it was already noon, the pandas were lazy, some sat in front of a large pile of bamboo eating lunch, some sat idly on the branches of the tree to watch, some dangled leisurely on the platform, some sat motionless, some simply slept on it, they regarded enthusiastic tourists as nothing, our enthusiasm may just disturb them. I thought that walking down the one-way road to visit would reach Swan Lake, but I didn't expect it to be a ring road, so we walked around again, really tired and hungry.
Finally arrived at Swan Lake, bamboo restaurant people are more expensive, and finally found a commissary to buy instant noodles to fill their stomachs. Shu Shu liked the fish in the lake, and after a long time of feeding the cake, he was very happy. The afternoon time was reserved for the Panda Museum, which happened to be a service center with sofas and convenience facilities, so I sat there eating fruit and resting, anyway, there was nothing else, I came back and forth to see it several times. What attracted me the most here was the panda specimen, the newborn red panda powder, soaked in the bottle, people can't help but feel pity.
Coming out of the Panda Museum, it is almost 4 o'clock, take the bus back, and habitually return to the opposite station when you come. I didn't expect that we were sitting on the same road car, but the direction was reversed, the more I sat, the more I felt that something was wrong, fortunately, the boss on the car was very enthusiastic, let us get off the car in time, sit back on the opposite side, after several twists and turns, finally returned to the station. This day is really tired, directly downstairs in the family restaurant to eat, my mother and I ate Mao Blood Wang, to Shu Shu ordered a fish fragrant meat rice bowl (no bit of sea peppercorns, to be precise, sweet and sour meat shredded), but also a green vegetable tofu soup, the portion is very sufficient. After eating, we walked along the road next to the community, went to the nearby small supermarket to buy some snacks and milk, and Shu Shu took a rocking car again, watching the mothers dancing the dam dance, which felt like the rhythm of the usual night at home.
Panda base
Day 3 Haichang Polar Ocean World
Haichang Polar Ocean World was the highlight of our trip to Chengdu, because I heard my colleagues say it was fun, so I have been planning to bring Shu Shu. East Railway Station take the 504 road to Tianfu Avenue South Station Nanhu Junction Station, opposite ocean world, very convenient.
The polar towns are bustling with the sound of eating and playing. I bought Shu Shu a panda sun hat, which he wears with black-rimmed glasses, which is really cute and cute. There are vendors selling online shopping tickets, 115 a piece, which is 15 yuan cheaper than buying at the gate. Afraid of being deceived, I pressed my mother there first (my mother was going to the door to buy preferential tickets for the elderly), and when I and Shu Shu entered the door, I paid him, and it was good to enter the customs smoothly. Before entering the door, I took the whistle toy sold on the stall and looked at it and put it back, but I didn't expect that Shu Shu was actually on the heart. When he entered the garden, he asked me, "Mom, I want that whistle, why don't you buy it for me?" "Hurriedly let my mother who was still outside buy a dolphin whistle for 8 yuan for Shu Shu, but it sold for 25 in the garden, and I didn't feel any difference."
When I entered the garden, I couldn't figure out the southeast, south, and northwest, but I only felt that my eyes were full of novelty, and I didn't know where to start. I went to see the performance schedule first, and there was one in the Gaiety Theater half an hour later, and the target was immediately there. It was early when I went and took the second row of seats. The good play finally opened, and 3 sea lions came up, cute and cute. Sea lions jacking balls, dancing street dances, doing arithmetic problems, reciting Tang poems, and winning applause. Shu Shu also looked at it with a humble look. Curious as to why sea lions count, are they really high in IQ or what are the hands and feet of the trainers? When watching the sea lion choose the answer, it is smelling with the nose, and it is doubtful that the trainer has glued the correct answer board to the fish, and the sea lion naturally knows which one to choose when it smells the taste. After completing a performance, the trainer immediately rewarded the fish, and the uneaten one was still screaming next to it, and the eager eyes really looked like an ignorant child.
At lunch next to the White Pole Bear Pavilion, Shu Shu suddenly said: "It is pulling the rice dumplings", and sure enough, the white pole bear crouched on the rockery, and a large piece of stink was directly pulled into the water, I couldn't help but laugh, today is also an eye-opener, witnessing this rare animal out of congratulations.
Then we went to see the beluga whale show and the shark show, but none of this aroused much interest from Shu Shu, who proposed to watch the sea lion show. So we went to Happy Valley again, this time Shu Shu seemed to understand the program, when the host asked a child to recite "Wing Goose", he actually raised his hand high, which frightened me a lot, "Hey, how did you raise your hand?" Shu Shu immediately hesitated and put his hand down. I was very upset about my behavior, cared too much about success or failure, and let the child lose the courage to try. A little sister in the front row was called up to recite, and the opening of her mouth was "Hoeing Day noon", the audience laughed, and she re-recited it at the prompt of her parents. Wrong, corrected can be; forget, remind can be, so simple, not necessarily guaranteed to raise your hand in the case of 100% error-free, children need to try more than perform.
For the rest of the day, we went to see the penguins again. The trainers at the Penguin House are introducing the species and habits of penguins. Penguins have always been my favorite animals, cute and have an innate nobility. At this time there are very few people, so we stay so, watching them or swaying walking or standing there motionless like sculptures or stretching their limbs in the water from time to time, until the trainers come to feed, they crowd in groups of three or five to the front of the food bucket, waiting for the keeper to throw out the small fish, the penguins that receive the fish, almost without chewing the process directly into the stomach. Sometimes the keepers throw fish into the water, so that the penguins who are still swimming eat one, and some are gluttonous and jump into the water to grab food. There were still a few, standing proudly on the sidelines, looking thoughtfully into the distance, unmoved from beginning to end, and the keeper had to bring the buckets to them and feed them one by one. I have been wondering if human beings are really cruel, in order to satisfy the desire to watch, put the animals that were originally free to live in small cages, so that they will end up alone in the longing for their hometown. If one day humans become weak and animals put us in cages, how will we feel? After feeding, the keeper beckoned the penguins back to the inner chamber, and they lined up in a row, swaying and swinging through the fish, really like a group of kindergarten children.
Coming out of the penguin house, we saw the sea lion trainer in Happy Valley feeding the walrus, and he saw us watching from the side, and he actually trained the walrus to spray water and applaud us, which was so cute that people couldn't leave.
The radio that is about to close the park urges us to go out from the shopping store, many children are taking the last time to pick souvenirs, Shu Shu thousands of choices, and finally took a fancy to a snare of the small game console, fresh for a few days, after returning home did not see him play again.
Still on the bus back to the station, my mother took us for dinner at an Ikebana noodle shop we found while walking. Popularity is very strong, ordered noodles, dumplings, fried sauce noodles, sure taste is very good, the portion is also very sufficient, than the noodles eaten in the general restaurant closer to the taste of Chongqing, a question to know, the chef here is authentic Yibin people, no wonder there are so many people eating.
After eating and walking back, I saw that "I don't know the fire" in the night market was very fresh, bought a big bag, and brought some back to Shu Shu's father to eat.
Haichang Polar Ocean Park
Day 4 Baihuatan Park Cultural Palace Qingyang Palace (Gate)
When I came, I bought a train back to Chongqing after 3 p.m., and I still had half a day to play in Chengdu, so I chose the Qingyang Palace in the city. We left the room, left the luggage in the hotel, told the owner thousands of instructions, we came back around 1:30 to get the luggage, and we must find someone when the time comes.
It happened to be Monday, because I was afraid of the morning subway congestion, I chose to travel by bus, and I didn't expect to experience a taste of traffic jams in Chengdu. Fortunately, we have seats, so we stop and go with the car to enjoy the appearance of Chengdu. When I was about to reach my destination, the traffic was so stuck that I was anxious to go to the hospital for injections in the morning, so that the nurses were off work. The driver was not annoyed when he listened, and said in a soft language of Chengdu without hurrying: "You have something to do with how to take the bus, what do you want to take the subway." "It seems that traffic jams in the urban area are commonplace, and drivers have no choice, and only those who do not pursue efficiency take the bus."
An old grandmother came up, looked at Shu Shu and teased him, and put him on the dragon gate array. She said that Chongqing's foreigner street is very good, and told us that Qingyang Palace is a place to burn incense, if you don't burn incense, it doesn't mean anything, the Baihuatan Park in front of Qingyang Palace is better, and there is no admission fee. We listened to her words, got out of the car and walked to Baihuatan Park, the grandmother was very enthusiastic, and greeted us in the car, don't go wrong on the road.
Entering the Baihuatan Park, it is indeed a good place, and the poet Du Fu once left a famous sentence here: "Wanli Bridge West One Grass Hall, the water of the Hundred Flowers Pond is the vicissitudes." The water pavilion, the trees and forests, is also a quiet place in the downtown, of course, it is also a combination of movement and static, and the leisurely old people are still drinking tea, rubbing hemp and singing here. The most impressive is the Sichuan School Bonsai Garden, where a huge bonsai stands in front of the oval door, like an ancient painting. Later, I learned that there was actually Ba Jin's former residence inside, but unfortunately I didn't finish the garden in a hurry. And to the Palace of Culture, there are many children's amusement facilities, Shu Shu chooses from the east to the west, and does not sit at all. At this time, I received a call from my father, saying that he had returned to Chengdu from Ya'an, and we made an appointment to have lunch at Wangfujing on Chunxi Road at 12:30. So I hurried out and rushed to the Qingyang Palace, and when I saw at the door that I was going to charge ten yuan for tickets, I thought that it was not interesting to go in and walk around like this, so I gave up. Think that I have been twice through the Qingyang Palace and not entered, hehe, leave some thoughts, next time come again.
After meeting with my father, I went to the new food city to eat, this time I changed one, it was a buffet fast food, a variety of dishes were placed there, I went to get it myself, and then I unified to the cashier, checkout first and then eat. The best thing to eat is the dry pot chicken, 18 yuan a small pot, with lotus, onions, potatoes as side dishes, spicy flavor, is the most Chongqing flavor I ate in Chengdu.
When we finished eating, Shu Shu hardly moved, and it was a little too late, so we served the Shu Shu rice and fed it as we walked. As a result, there is more scenery on the street of Chunxi Road, the mother-in-law chases after the bowl in the back, and Shu Shu runs in front to avoid. The owner of the inn called and asked why we hadn't gone back to get our luggage, and I went back to him and took the subway back immediately, up to 20 minutes. I had to let my parents and Shu Shu grind slowly and rush to get my luggage. Rushed to the place where I lived, saw the boss standing at the door of the community looking forward to it, and really appreciated his promise, because I was more than half an hour late than the scheduled time, but he was just worried that we would miss the train, and he did not have the slightest complaint that he had been waiting for us not to leave. With this, the next time I come to Chengdu, I will stay with them.
When my parents and I met and walked into the train station, the bus we were on had already begun to check the tickets, and the busyness of most of the day was really due to the traffic jam. The return trip we basically spent in a coma, this trip is much slower than when we went, to the Vegetable Garden Dam railway station has been wiped black, I and my mother all the way, Shu Shu and dad actually followed off, in the train station to find half a day did not see the shadow, we took 108 to go home, a car to see the dirty inside, can't help but miss the chengdu high-end car.
Shu Shu is still clamoring to go to Chengdu to play, not to see pandas or aquariums, but to take a bus in Chengdu, which shows the livability difference between Chongqing and Chengdu. This trip actually made me move my mind to move to Chengdu after retirement, where the natural scenery, history and culture and the warmth between people all made me remember, pour, and admire.
Hundred Flowers Park
