An expert seminar on the drama "Soldier's Heart" organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs was held in Beijing a few days ago. After watching the drama, the participating experts discussed the artistic style, creative expression and value of the times, and believed that the play vividly demonstrated the firm belief of generations of retired soldiers to be "loyal to the party and as a rock" and the mission of "taking off the military uniform or the soldier".
"Soldier Heart" is the first veterans drama organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. Attending the seminar were relevant responsible comrades such as the Literature and Art Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department, the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Propaganda Bureau of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission; experts from the literary and art circles such as the China Writers Association and the China Critics Association; and representatives of retired soldiers. Experts attending the meeting believe that the drama has a distinct theme, a unique angle, a small view, a tight rhythm, and vivid and touching people, which is conducive to educating and guiding the vast number of retired soldiers to continue to maintain the true color of "retiring from the army and not fading their aspirations", encouraging the vast number of retired soldiers to struggle for the party's cause, and becoming a reliable force for consolidating the party's long-term ruling power and promoting economic and social development.
Ma Feixiong, vice minister of the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs, said that the organization of the drama "Soldier Heart" is an inherent requirement to encourage the vast number of veterans to continue to make meritorious achievements, and it is also an urgent need to create a respectful atmosphere in the society.
