On the west trench of Shunhe Street in Jinan, there is a flat bridge called Yingxian Bridge. Don't look at this small bridge is not remarkable, in fact, its origin is not small. What's going on? One is that the history is long, more than 500 years old; the second is that Tianzi has walked this bridge many times.
Yingxian Bridge, in the past, has always been called "Yingxian Bridge". Xiwei Trench also had a beautiful name in ancient times, called "Jintangou" in ancient times (now there is a street called Jintangao Street, which is named after the old road of Jintanggou), which is a drainage river canal, which was first excavated by Zeng Gong of Zhizhou in the Northern Song Dynasty to divert the flood of Nanshan, and was dug into a polder trench when the polder city was built in 1860. According to the "Continuation of the Licheng County Chronicle and Landscape Examination VIII", the Yingxian Bridge, at the earliest time, was not called "Yingxian Bridge", but "Ying'en Bridge", which was the place where hundreds of officials greeted the emperor when the ancient emperor came to Jinan. The Kangxi Emperor and the Qianlong Emperor came to Jinan several times and arrived at the west gate of Jinan City by crossing this bridge from the Ten Kings Hall (the west head of Guanyi Street).

(Jinan Weicheng Yongzhen Gate, now Yingxian Bridge.) )
The Yingxian Bridge was first built in the fifteenth year (1520) of Emperor Mingwu Zhengde, 502 years ago, and the bridge has collapsed many times in history and been built many times. The reason for the construction of this bridge is very clear in the "Monument to the Reconstruction of Yingxian Bridge" in the twelfth year of Qing Jiaqing (1807): "The jintang ditch, the water without a source, and the turbulence is particularly fierce." In summer and autumn, the mountains and rivers soared, the self-weight dam went down from high, the yellow stream rolled, and the depressed travel was delayed, and this Yingxian Bridge was built by Jianye. And in history, the bridge is a throat point in Jinan, the so-called "bridge when the provincial city of Kongdao (the way must pass), north to Yanji, east to Qilu, for the throat of Jinan." As for why people changed "Ying'en Bridge" to "Yingxian Bridge", the inscription says: "The name of the "Old Zhi" was 'Ying'en Bridge', and later generations changed it to 'Yingxian Bridge', yu yi did not take anything." However, it has been along for a long time, and it cannot be easy. ”
The inscription says that "there is nothing to be gained from righteousness", which is relative to "welcoming grace". In fact, in the Ming and Qing dynasties, Jinan's sons and eunuchs entered Beijing, this bridge is the only way to pass, and in ancient times, the term "Dengxian" was often used as a metaphor for being transferred from the local to the Beijing division or entering beijing to catch up with Kaodenke. When they leave and return to Ji, they are generally here to greet and send them off, so people call the bridge "Yingxian Bridge". Wang Xiangchun, a famous poet of the Ming Dynasty, wrote in a poem in "Jinan Baiyong Ximen Dao", which can be corroborated by the saying that "the walker is in the state of Dengxian, and the giver is beautiful in Qingyun".
In the twelfth year of Jiaqing, Wei Xiang (Zizhihe), a famous architect of the Qing Dynasty and a native of Jinan, advocated the reconstruction of the Yingxian Bridge. After three months of reconstruction, Yingxian Bridge is "simple and durable, and pedestrians can not be sick for a hundred years." The section of streets and alleys connecting The East of Yingxian Bridge to the south of the former Jiaojiayu Shounan and Huadian Street is also known as "Yingxian Bridge Street" (see Qianlong's "Chronicle of Licheng County"). At present, there is a "Yingxian Spring" in the south of the bridge, and every day citizens come here to draw water, which has become a scene.
"Ying'en Bridge" or "Yingxian Bridge" was finally changed to "Yingxian Bridge" in the 30s of the last century, and at the same time, "Yingxian Bridge Street" was also changed to "Yingxian Street", and has been used to this day. (Don't say academy)
