Microfluidic chip development: Set a benchmark in the microfluidic industry as a leader in research and development

Britain is famous for art and culture around the world, Kang River rafting, institutions of higher learning, national art gallery, the river Thames, see the civilization on both sides of the strait, the collision of ancient and modern, all show the beauty of Britain to the world. It is also a place of technological innovation, the world-famous second-generation sequencing and nanopore sequencing, both from the United Kingdom. Of course, this is also one of the birthplaces of microfluidic technology. When the industry's research on microfluidics was just beginning, the University of Cambridge opened a special microfluidic laboratory that year.

Microfluidic chip development: Set a benchmark in the microfluidic industry as a leader in research and development

Microfluidics originated in the early 1990s as a systematic technique for manipulating and controlling fluids in channel networks ranging in size from tens to hundreds of microns, using small devices of microchannels to process or manipulate small amounts of fluid. Although this technology is still in the development stage, microfluidics technology is quickly becoming a breakthrough technology that can be applied to various fields such as biology, chemistry, information technology and optics, and is regarded as an important tool for life science research, or as an important means of biotechnology.

ITL Group's solutions can be used in microfluidic technology and nanofluidic applications, providing better microfluidic control, automation, precision and ease of use. As a pioneer in microfluidics technology, ITL has established the standard for microfluidics control and strives to remain at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation. WITH OFFICES AROUND THE UK, USA AND CHINA, ITL GROUP PROVIDES SOLUTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURING AND COMMERCIALIZATION OF MICROFLS CHIPS TO CUSTOMERS AROUND THE WORLD, AND HAS PROVIDED SUCCESSFUL MICROFLAC CHIPS AND INSTRUMENTS TO HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS WORLDWIDE TO HELP THEM REPLACE TRADITIONAL INSPECTION PLATFORMS WITH SIMPLIFIED AND FEASIBLE SOLUTIONS.

Despite its absolute advantages, microfluidics technology has not yet been widely used, possibly because the commercialization of microfluidics technology is facing challenges. The ITL team realized that microfluidic technology has high barriers and low industrialization, so technology and capital are two indispensable elements. High-quality services, low costs, and high performance constitute an "impossible triangle", and the key to breaking the game is new technology.

Microfluidic chip development: Set a benchmark in the microfluidic industry as a leader in research and development

In 1994, ITL Group developed piezOptic, the first technology platform for individual gas emissions. The company developed cutting-edge piezoelectric thin-film sensors, which are certified by the Center for Applied Microbiology (CAMR) in Bolton (now the National Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL)). The gas sensing system includes a disposable badge (worn on the human body) that utilizes piezoelectric film technology and detectors to detect the charge generated when a gas reacts with a reagent placed on a thin film, primarily to monitor an individual's exposure to a particular gas.

During product development, PanOpSys filed a patent for biological applications with the aim of applying the innovation to highly sensitive, cost-effective, user-friendly in vitro diagnostic devices. ITL Group provides PanOpSys with a Reagent Development System (CDS) prototype that combines piezoelectric thin films and microfluidics for basic research and prototype design. After the principle demonstration was completed, ITL designed and developed the instrument platform according to the customer's requirements for use with the microfluidic system. In 2014, ITL Group won the KEiBA Technology and Best Manufacturing Business of the Year Award.

As the industry benchmark in the field of microfluidics, ITL Group actively innovates, provides the highest level of technical support to optimize the allocation of resources, R&D engineers, quality management and business consulting teams from different points of view to help customers get the maximum benefit, solve technical and business problems in a professional and systematic way, provide high-quality and cost-effective products, and add value to customers' business through quality services.
