With the opening of the winter transfer window in January, four clubs from the Premier League are interested in the 25-year-old Brazilian flamenco striker Barbosa, with West Ham negotiating a signing with Flamengo for Barbosa, who himself is eager to land in the Premier League.
Barbosa plays for Brazilian flamenco and has scored 104 goals in 147 games with incredible efficiency. Barbosa wants to play in the Premier League as he believes it will cement his position as a starting striker for Brazil in Qatar's World Cup. In addition, Barbosa has made 17 appearances for Brazil, scoring five goals.
Barbosa has watched all of West Ham's matches and is impressed by the work of manager Moyes. Currently, West Ham are struggling to qualify for the Champions League, with Moyes coaching a team in 5th place in the league, one point behind fourth.
