Jeremiah Jensen was very excited. Today was a sunny day, the first time he and his dad came to the stadium to watch a major league baseball game. Jeremiah has never seen so many people in one place!

Jeremiah's dad was also in a good mood. He and Jeremiah enjoyed the atmosphere on the pitch and watched his favorite team – just as he had been through many times with his father, Jeremiah's grandfather.

When the score was 0:0, there was a sudden "popping" sound of hitting the ball. One of the home team's players hit a home run! Jeremiah's dad jumped up from his seat and cheered loudly on the team he supported.

Just then, a large man sitting behind them shouted, "Hey, bald man — sit down!" ”

Jeremiah was startled—and a little worried. But Dad smiled and turned to the man and said, "How do you know my name?" ”

The hunky man smiled in return.

On the way home after watching the game, Jeremiah remembered the big man again. "Daddy, why did that man call you bald?"

Dad smiled. "Because I don't have a lot of hair on my head." He explained.

Jeremiah thought about it. Then he wondered what it would have been like if he hadn't had his own hair.

The next day, Jeremiah and Dad sat at the kitchen table. Dad was on the phone.

Jeremiah didn't pay much attention to what dad was saying, but he did hear it: "I've been losing my hair ever since..."

Jeremiah didn't hear the words behind him, he kept thinking hard about the previous sentence.

Dad loses his hair! Jeremiah thought. Then surely that's the reason!

A smile appeared on his face. Well then – I'm going to find hair! It would make Dad very happy. He jumped out of his chair and rushed out of the kitchen. He began to look for His father's hair.

Jeremiah looked around the room. He checked closets, cupboards and drawers. He checked the bathtub, he checked the garage. He even checked the flush toilet... However, no hair was found at all.

Jeremiah came outside the house and continued to search for Daddy's hair. He inspected the sewers, trash cans, and under the stones.

He inspected the front yard and the back yard. He even inspected the garden. Still nothing. He returned to the house, disheartened.

Where does the hair go? Then Jeremyah had an idea. I wonder, is there anything else that loses hair like Dad did? Jeremiah thought of other things like Daddy's head: pencil wipes, humps, turtles, and pigs.

Well, maybe pigs and humps have a little mane, but not much.

But none of them actually lost their hair, Jeremiah thought, and some didn't even have hair from the start. He sighed and went into the small room.

His little sister Rosemary was playing in the crib. It inspired him. Rosemary's head was shiny, almost like Daddy's. Maybe Dad was born that way! Jeremiah thought.

Jeremiah found her father in the backyard. "Daddy," he asked, "weren't you born like this, without hair?" ”

"Many people are born almost hairless," Dad replied.

"Even you."

"Yikes!" Jeremiah touched his head to make sure his hair was still there, "Well, that's why!" ”

"No, no. You know, I grew hair later. But when I get older, my hair falls out little by little. Dad explained.

Jeremiah thought about his father's words, trying to imagine what his father looked like with his hair. What would a dad with hair look like? Jeremiah wanted to know.

"Does it hurt to lose your hair?" Jeremiah asked.

"It doesn't hurt."

"Bleeding?"

"No bleeding."

"Are you crying?"

"I didn't cry," Dad said, "I was just a little upset." But I know that it doesn't matter if you have hair or not, what matters is your thoughts and conduct. ”

The next day, Jeremyah and the whole family went to the beach to play. Jeremiah looked around at the people around him. Their appearance, body shape and skin color are different. Some are short, some are tall. Some people are skinny, some people are fat.

There are all kinds of bald heads here. Some look like donuts, some look like horseshoes. Some were completely bald, like people on the moon.

Jeremiah looked at Daddy. Sunlight reflected on Dad's glowing head. Jeremiah laughed.

"Daddy." He cried.

"Well, Jeremiah."

"I'm not going to look for your hair again."

"I think the way you look now is perfect."
