According to NBA reporter Brett Siegel, sources revealed that Pelican center Valanciunas triggered a health and safety agreement.

Other players in the Pelicans who are still in the health and safety agreement are Aleksandr Walker, Marshall, and Alvarado.

So far this season, Valanciunas has played in 33 games for the Pelicans, averaging 31.5 minutes per game, 18.5 points, 12 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 1 block, shooting 52.2% from the field and 45.3% from three-point range.
