After the founding of New China, Zhang Guofu was sent to a military academy to study. Later, he participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Regrettably, on the battlefield, he was seriously wounded. In the end, Zhang Guofu quietly returned to his hometown and lived in anonymity.
