The historical Empress Xiaohui of Song, named He Zhen, was born in 929 AD and died in 958 AD, a native of Kaifeng, Henan. He Zhen was the daughter of He Jingsi, the head of the Right Qianniu Wei of the Great Song Dynasty, and He Jingsi was from the famous gate of The Huiji He clan, and he was the tenth grandson of the great poet He Zhizhang of the Tang Dynasty.
Zhao Kuangyin's father, Zhao Hongyin, was a famous general of the Five Dynasties period, who once paid homage to the inspector and was in charge of the forbidden army together with his son Zhao Kuangyin, and lived in the protective camp of Kaifeng Province.
In the camp, Zhao Kuangyin and He Zhen, who is also the child of an officer, met He Zhen, and He Zhen and Zhao Kuangyin were very affectionate and friendly to each other.
When Zhao Kuangyin became an adult, He Zhen temporarily avoided him because of the difference between men and women. In addition to performing military duties, Zhao Kuangyin spent all day hanging out with soldiers or rich children, and gradually developed the bad habits of a clumsy disciple.
In 944, Zhao Hongyin wanted to choose a good match for his son, thinking about it, or he was very fond of He Zhen, who had grown up watching since he was a child. Two years later, on the day of the second anniversary of the celebration of Lady He Zhen, Zhao Kuangyin sat on the dragon chair, put on the dragon robe, and ascended the throne as emperor, that is, the historical Song Taizu.
Zhao Kuangyin became emperor, but his beloved wife had long been separated forever, and thinking of this, Taizu immediately issued an edict posthumously crowning He Zhen as Empress Xiaohui, not only overstepping the etiquette system to move He Zhen's tablet into the Imperial Ancestral Temple, but also ordering the officials who guarded the tomb to use the daily imperial meal dishes in the palace to worship Empress Xiaohui. It can be seen that He Zhen's status in the heart of Song Taizu is so high that almost no one can beat it.
The second empress of Song Taizu, Empress Xiaoming of the Wang clan

The third empress of Song Taizu, Empress Xiaozhang of the Song clan

Empress Song did not have any children in her lifetime, presumably related to the emperor's old age and sudden death. Because Song Taizu did not determine the candidate for the crown prince during his lifetime, after his death, the Jiangshan of the Great Song somehow fell into the hands of his younger brother Zhao Guangyi, the King of Jin.
However, Zhao Guangyi, who became emperor, did not wait to see this gentle sister-in-law Song Shi, and he did not let The Song clan participate in the ceremony, and then sent him to live in the palace garden.
In 995, the Song clan, who had only been empress for 8 years, died alone outside the palace, and when he died, the Song clan was 44 years old.
