Character: Hong Shaopan

Hong Shaopan (洪沙泮), also spelled Ji bi (字季璧), was a native of Xinfeng Village, Yingdu (present-day Xinfeng Natural Village, Daxin Village, Yingdu Town, Nan'an City), a person during the Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty, whose date of birth and death is unknown. According to the genealogy of the New Fenghong Clan, Hong Shaopan was proficient in QiHuang, and was a generation of famous doctors in Quan County at that time, who treated diseases and saved people throughout his life and benefited the people, and won praise from all walks of life. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Hong Shaopan cured the mother of the prefect of Quanzhou from a stubborn disease, and Yao Rendao, the main hall of Nan'an County, was given a plaque of "Xianzheng Fengzhi" by the prefect's order to show praise.

Hong Shaopan's former residence is located in Xinfeng Natural Village, Daxin Village, Yingdu Town, Nan'an City, the former residence was built in the 20th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1755 AD), which is a residence built by Hong Shaopan, which has a history of more than 260 years. The years have changed, through the wind and rain, the house has leaked and needs to be repaired urgently. Later, at the initiative of the Xianda of the clan, the descendants of the descendants worked together and generously donated money to repair the top and lower halls. In the autumn of 1998, the renovation was completed, and the plaque of "First Positive Wind Regulation" was copied and hung. The shrine is re-illuminated, and the wind and glory are resumed.

For the people of southern Fujian, a red brick house carries memories of family and childhood. Whether it is red walls, gray tiles, or graceful dovetail ridges, exquisite and quaint brick carvings and window ledges, every old object of the building is sealed with a lingering history.

In Xinfeng Natural Village, Daxin Village, Yingdu Town, Nan'an City, there is an ancient house that has stood for more than 260 years, although it has been baptized by the years, it is still as solid as a rock, which is the former residence of Hong Shaopan, the 16th ancestor of the New Feng Hong clan. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Hong Shaopan, who was proficient in the art of Qi Huang, was here to consult the pulse of the townspeople, hang the pot to save the world, and won the reputation of a famous doctor in Quan County, and Yao Rendao, who was then the main hall of Nan'an County, even gave a plaque "Xianzheng Fengzhi" to show his name.

It was also in this old mansion that the xinglin gene of the New FengHong clan began to continue, and in the following 200 years, the new Feng Hong clan continued the incense of Shao Pan Gong for several generations and became a well-known family of Chinese medicine. The reputation of "First Correct Wind Rule" is also accompanied by the endless life and death of Hong's humanistic vein.

Visiting the Capital again is already the winter month of the ugly year.

However, the warm and good weather seems to add a filter to the idyllic scenery along the way. Under the sun, the distant mountains are like dai, the near water contains smoke, and everything is alive and bright.

Stepping into the boundary of Yingdu, the red brick Dewa's minnan ancient house is not uncommon. But where there is a little history, or exquisite and exquisite, or beautiful, each ancient house in southern Fujian is like a quiet and elegant boudoir.

Hong Shaopan's former residence is an exception. It is not skillful, even a little rough, although it does not have too many elaborate and complicated craftsmanship, but it is very clever; it is somewhat lonely, hidden in a large area of modern bungalows, not very conspicuous, but invisible elephants.

When I approached it, I was also pleasantly surprised. The high-pitched ridges of the wings and the neat gray tile roof form a sense of undulating layering. Compared with the surrounding square, gray and yellow rural houses, although the ancient house is low, the color is clear and elegant, and the green mountains and green forests are contrasted, under the blue sky and white clouds, it is particularly leisurely.

Entering the ancient house, the walls on both sides of the hall are hung with many portraits of famous Chinese medical scientists throughout the ages. Looking around, although the upper and lower halls can see the traces of repairs, many wooden beams are hollowed out by termites, and the very old adobe stacked at the entrance of the lower hall box makes people feel like they are in a different world.

In the middle of the hall, a plaque with four big characters of "First Correct Wind Rules" is very eye-catching. Although the plaque says that it was given during the Qianlong period, it is obviously newly made. Liao Rongguang, a fellow literary and historical expert, told the truth, and the plaque is that during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, after the owner of the Great House, Hong Shaopan, cured the mother of the Quanzhou prefect, Yao Rendao, the main hall of Nan'an County, was given by the prefect's order, praising his virtue as having an ancestor's demeanor, and Gai had no choice but to remake it because of the "broken four olds" in the 1960s.

Although the plaque was once destroyed by man-made disasters, the weight of the four words "First Correct Wind Rule" in the hearts of the descendants of the new Feng Hong clan has never dissipated. Because whether they are practicing medicine or being human, this is not only the highest praise given to their ancestors by the world, but also the most precious spiritual heritage left by their ancestors to future generations.

Stepping out of the ancient house, looking at the leafy green trees and plantains in front of the gate, smelling the aroma emitted by the villagers boiling Chinese medicine, the mind suddenly returned to the Qianlong period. It is expected that at that time, Hong Shaopan's house in front of the house should also be planted with Chinese herbs of different heights and heights, and the grass in front of the door is long and flying, and the grass in front of the door is long and flying, and the grass is lush; the house is full of people, the door is like a city, and countless people come to seek medical treatment. The wind and frost of history have witnessed the grandeur and prosperity of this ancient house.

In the local chronicle, there are only a few records about Hong Shaopan. In the Republic of China edition of the Nan'an County Chronicle, the volume "Qi Shou" records that all parts of Nan'an in the Qing Dynasty enjoyed a birthday of more than 90 years old, and Hong Shaopan was listed as one of them at the age of 93. There is no more information than the mention of Hong Shaopan as a "Confucian of The Interior".

But in the memories of the older generation in Xinfeng Village, Hong Shaopan's superb medical skills and beautiful virtues have a footnote full of legendary stories. In these stories, the image of Hong Shaopan's famous doctor gradually came to life.

Hong Shaopan studied medicine since childhood, practiced medicine in the capital city of Quanzhou and his hometown yingdu, hanging pots and saving the world, and countless patients he cured were well received and had a very good reputation. The genealogy states that he was "proficient in Qi Huang and a famous doctor of a generation." ”

Legend has it that one winter, the mother of the prefect of Quanzhou had an illness and asked famous doctors all over the city for diagnosis and treatment, but it did not work. Someone recommended that there was a Langzhong from Nan'an Yingdu, named Hong Shaopan, who was living outside the Tongjin Gate of Hongcuo, specializing in the treatment of difficult and complicated diseases, medicine to get rid of the disease, why not ask him for medical treatment. When the prefect heard this, he immediately ordered his men to go down to search for him, and sure enough, he invited Hong Shaopan to arrive.

As soon as Hong Shaopan arrived at the prefect, he immediately entered the inner hall to look, smell, ask, and cut for the old lady, and then quit the outer hall, and the prefect ordered his family to serve tea, only to hear Hong Shaopan sip a sip of tea lightly, muttering to himself: "Bad summer wind!" Colds! As soon as this remark came out, the whole seat was shocked, and they all said that the cold and heat stroke was the middle of Heat Stroke in June, and it was very absurd to have a summer illness in the cold winter month. Some people even ridiculed on the spot that Hong Shaopan did not see the old lady wearing lambskin fur and thought that she was wearing more heat stroke, which caused the hall to laugh.

The prefect shouted, "You must not be rude, and listen to Mr. Hong's illness." Hong Shaopan was not in a hurry, and said to the prefect in detail: "The pulse of the Hall is solid and depressed, just like the invasion of foreign evil in the summer of June." The old lady complained of abdominal pain and diarrhea, which was actually a stomach strain, and the pulse was manifested as a summer and wet invasion. He was old, bloated, and wet with phlegm, so the diseases took advantage of the gap. Its manifestations are like 'cold strokes', not that Lingtang december day heat stroke also. This winter disease should be treated with summer medicine. ”

The crowd listened to ShaoPan's words, as if falling into the fog, they would believe and doubt. However, the prefect thought that Hong Shaopan's theory of the source of the disease was indeed reasonable, and asked Hong Shaopan to prescribe according to the diagnostic pulse. Shao Pan pondered for a moment, opened a pair of Herbs Aroma Zhengqi Soup plus and minus, Jun Yao wind to relieve the surface of wetness, rational qi and zhong, supplemented by Chen yao Gu Ben FuZheng. Take one dose first, immediately see the effect, take three doses in a row, you can heal,

In today's view, Hong Shaopan concluded that the prefect's mother had "cold and heat stroke" symptoms through pulse diagnosis, and cured the disease with huoxiang zhengqi soup to cure heat stroke, which is the same as modern people suffering from gastrointestinal colds in winter and treated with huoxiang zhengqi water. It shows that his pulse is proficient and his medical skills are wonderful. It is rumored that from then on, the prefect of Quanzhou and Hong Shaopan became close friends.

A family of TCM practitioners

There are many stories about Hong Shaopan practicing medicine. From the Qing Dynasty to the present, some of these stories have been passed on by word of mouth, and people will inevitably add some story conflicts to add to the legendary color of the story. Among these stories, there are cases such as "Wise Eye Zhi Liujia", "Wu Shikou Warns Gluttonous Eaters", "Cold Water Cures Difficult Childbirth", and there is no shortage of stories with warning significance such as "Sichuan Root Stew Chicken Poisons and Kills People".

However, it is said that during the Qianlong period, there was a family surnamed Yang cuo in the Yingdu Banpu Yangcuo (now Liangshan Yangcuo), who had a family with thousands of fortunes, but the eldest son did not do his job, slept during the day, gambled at night, and often stayed up all night, resulting in a weak physique. This can be anxious to spoil the Yang family's father, looking for a good doctor, helping him to adjust his body, and teaching him to be righteous.

After being recommended by many people, the Yang family's father asked Hong Shaopan to come to his home for medical treatment. Shao Pan looked at this young man who was about 30 years old, but his face was pale, mentally tired, and he had no strength to bind the chicken, judging that this system was both weak in qi and blood, and it was advisable to supplement the qi and help the yuan. Shao Pan then prescribed the decoction, with the "four things" soup, accompanied by the medicine of tonic qi, stewed chicken, solid foundation and righteousness, and double supplementation of qi and blood. According to the symptoms of the patient's qi and blood depression, he also deliberately increased the dose of Sichuan root.

The Yang family stewed according to Hong Shaopan's prescription, and Yang Gongzi went to bed after taking medicine that night. The next morning, the servant knocked on the door, Yang Gongzi did not respond, pushed the door to see, Yang Gongzi's heart stopped beating, his lips were black, and he had no breath.

Yang's family went to the official palace to sue Hong Shaopan, misdiagnosed and killed Yang Gongzi. The county officials are rough about medicinal properties, thinking that the "four things" are angelica, Sichuan root, ripe land, white peony, the medicinal properties are peaceful, how can it cause people to die? He asked Hong Shaopan in detail.

Shao Pan was puzzled and felt that there must be a demon when things went wrong, so he came to the kitchen of the decoction to take a look. In order to find out the problem, he personally stewed medicine in the Yang family kitchen, in the process, found a large string of cuttlefish hanging on the small stove for cooking medicine, crawled out of a large centipede, the medicine gas rose, the centipede spit liquid dripped, the medicinal soup immediately changed color, no wonder Yang Gongzi was poisoned and died after taking it.

In front of the county official, Hong Shaopan re-boiled the medicinal soup and drank it himself, unharmed. The official government conducted a comprehensive judgment and found that the prescription prescribed by Hong Shaopan was not poisonous, and that the Yang family prince had died by mistakenly taking a soup medicine that had been dripped into the centipede venom, and had nothing to do with Hong Shaopan. At this point, the case of "Sichuan root stew chicken killing people", under the rigorous self-testimony of Hong Shaopan, finally came out.

How true are these stories? Because there is no official account, there is no conclusive conclusion today. However, in the view of Liao Rongguang, an expert in literature and history, many older generations in Yingdu have heard from childhood that "when cold water is used to cure production, transported to Sichuan to heal the dead", etc. to describe Hong Shaopan's smooth mouth, even if the story has some deductive elements, it also confirms the legendary life of Hong Shaopan.

The medical book left by the ancestors of the New Maple Hong clan.

History is vast and vast, except for those who can influence the course of history, and the people who are written into the annals of history are after all very rare, let alone a doctor who walks in the countryside. Hong Shaopan is just a healer, in traditional Chinese culture, medical Confucianism does not separate families, for his descendants, no matter what the story is, can not hide Hong Shaopan for the new Feng Hong clan to open the trend of reading books, treating diseases and saving people.

Under his influence, a large number of Descendants of the Hong clan entered the altar of apricots, and the New Feng Hong Clan also became a well-known family of Chinese medicine. Today, in Liangshan Village, Yingdu Town, Sun Hongweicai, the 25th generation of the Hong family, is still inheriting the mantle of his ancestors and sticking to the Chinese Medicine Road. Living in Xiamen, he will come back every Wednesday to see doctors and treat the people in his hometown for more than ten years.

In the Yi'an Hall where he treated the townspeople, the "Xianzheng Wind Rules" given by the ancestor Shaopan Gong were also placed in the middle of the hall, reminding him at all times to remember the good hands and benevolence of a doctor.
