On the first day of the New Year, the first International Urban Art Festival in Minhang, Shanghai and the "Together · JOY BROWN Sculpture Exhibition opened in Minhang Cultural Park.

The first International Urban Art Festival in Minhang, Shanghai, is guided by the Propaganda Department of the Minhang District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and jointly sponsored by the Minhang District Greening city appearance bureau, the district cultural and tourism bureau, and the district literary association.

In order to reflect the inclusiveness of urban culture and the co-construction and sharing of people's cities, the "Minhang Art Venue Alliance" was also officially signed at the opening ceremony of the art season. As the opening exhibition of the Shanghai Minhang International Urban Art Festival, "Together · JOY BROWN Sculpture Exhibition is the first large-scale theme exhibition of American artist Joy Brown in China. Joy Brown's related series of works were invited to be exhibited on Broadway Avenue in New York in 2017, and the sculpture works take "together" as the theme, a total of 13 pieces, through the sculpture creation of different shapes and character narratives, telling the audience about the connection and bondage between people and family, people and city, people and society, people and nature, outlining a series of urban space landscapes full of humanistic care and spiritual significance, adding a warmth to the city.

In the next six months, the exhibition will also focus on the theme of "Together" and combine the cultural environment of Minhang region to hold different forms of interactive activities such as "Joy Brown Hand-painted Postcard", "DIY Happy Doll Blind Box" and "Lohas Clay Man", continuing to create hot spots and add cultural vitality.

The surging news reporter also learned from Minhang District that Minhang Cultural Park has been considering demolishing the fence like the Shanghai Exhibition Center, so that the city park, art and the surrounding residents' lives can be "seamlessly integrated".
