In the middle of last month, Stephenson, who had been away from the NBA for two years, was called by the Eagles to sign a 10-day contract. In five games for the Hawks, Stephenson averaged 12.8 minutes per game, averaging 1.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists from the field, shooting 33.0 percent from the field. While the stats aren't very impressive, Stephenson's efficiency is high, and he's contributed on the defensive end and tandem teams. In these 5 games, he averaged plus-minus of +2.6 per game, which is very rare as a short contract for 10 days.
It should be noted that Stephenson and the Pacers are no strangers. Stephenson's career began with the Pacers, and in 2010-2014, Stephenson played for the Pacers for four seasons and was one of the team's contributors to the Eastern Conference Finals. He then moved to the Hornets, Clippers, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Timberwolves, and returned to the Pacers again in the 2016-17 season. After the 2017-18 season, Stephenson left the Pacers again to play a season for the Lakers, which will be his 3rd time playing for the Pacers!
So far in his career, Stephenson has made a total of 531 appearances in the NBA, including 199 starts, averaging 23.2 minutes per game, 8.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists, shooting 44.4% from the field and 31% from three-point range.
