Last year, Hongjiu Agricultural Company completed the first batch of yellow peach exports in Shanghai and achieved a good performance in Singapore, with a single fruit priced at 50 yuan. This year, the company tried to bring Nanhui peaches to the Singapore market.
In order to ensure the smooth export of Nanhui peaches, Pudong Customs, together with the Pudong New Area Agricultural and Rural Committee, has established three focus points: first, do a good job in safety control, strengthen the quality control of the whole process in pest prevention and control, pesticide residue monitoring, and ensure export quality and biosecurity; second, be a good supervisor of enterprises, timely convey international trade measures and inspection and quarantine requirements, and urge enterprises to do a good job in self-inspection, self-inspection and self-testing; third, give full play to industrial guidance, and continue to carry out policy publicity and professional guidance. Attract more high-quality agricultural enterprises to join the export team of local specialty agricultural products.

Nanhui peach was awarded the National Geographical Indication for Agricultural Products in 2010, and Pudong is also the only peach with Chinese characteristics in the country. In 2019, Pudong New Area formulated the "Nanhui Peach Industry Upgrading Work Plan", and strived to make the Nanhui peach industry achieve "domestic first and world-class" through five years, effectively increasing the sense of gain of peach farmers and making Nanhui peaches enter the international market.
Su Jinshan, director of the District Agricultural and Rural Committee, said that this time, Hongjiu Agricultural Company's Nanhui peach was exported to Singapore, taking the first step towards the international market. Pudong will take this as an opportunity to further promote the brand of Nanhui peach, and while opening up overseas markets for agricultural products, play the business card of Pudong real estate agricultural products to help rural revitalization.
With the support of Pudong Customs, the Pudong New Area Agricultural Association also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Singapore Tianyi International Trade Co., Ltd. for pudong brand melons and fruits.
