According to Jiang Dezhi, secretary of the party group and director of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, according to the results of the third land survey of Qingdao, the city has 6,544,100 mu of arable land, 1,214,600 mu of garden land, 2,913,400 mu of forest land, 181,600 mu of grassland, 352,000 mu of wetlands, 3,369,700 mu of urban village and industrial and mining land, 599,100 mu of transportation land, and 1,340,600 mu of water and water conservancy facilities.
Jiang Dezhi said that in the next step, Qingdao will implement the strictest farmland protection system and strictly abide by the red line of cultivated land; on the basis of the positive results achieved in ecological construction, continue to adhere to the strictest ecological environmental protection system, adjust the land use mode that does not conform to the natural geographical pattern; adhere to the strictest land conservation system, and comprehensively improve the efficiency of land use.
