Di Marzio: Atletico asked Barca to go on loan for Morata for half a year, with a forced buyout of 35 million euros at the end of the season

According to the well-known Italian journalist Di Marzio, Atletico asked Barca to force a buyout of Morata for 35 million euros after the loan period ended.

Morata is likely to leave Juve six months early, and in the past period of time, Morata has been linked to Barca, and negotiations are still in the preliminary stages. According to Di Marzio, Barca are looking for a No. 9 striker who is struggling to secure Morata, but given that Morata's ownership is still in atletico' hands, any negotiations will inevitably involve Barca's rival Atletico.

Atletico have asked Barca to take over Juve's loan contract, to loan Morata until the end of the season and to add a mandatory buyout clause worth around 35 million euros.

But in the current circumstances, Barca do not seem willing to accept such a solution, although they will continue negotiations.

Juve also need a replacement to get Morata out of the squad, and Barca offered them Depay, but due to injury problems, Juve don't seem willing to accept it.

In any case, Morata is associated with Barca because Xavi wants him to play as a starter, and the players are well aware that Juve will not buy him out, so if a good solution can be found in the winter window, he will evaluate and will not let the opportunity slip away.
