The eight major stems in western Fujian include: Dried Changting Tofu, Dried Sweet Potato in Liancheng, Dried Pork Bile in Wuping, Dried Radish in Shanghang, Dried Vegetables in Yongding, Dried Meat in Mingxi, Dried Rats in Ninghua, and Dried Bamboo Shoots in Qingliu. At present, Mingxi, Ninghua and Qingliu are all under the jurisdiction of Sanming City. According to the "Minxi County System", the above three counties were under the jurisdiction of Longyan City before liberation. Therefore, the above eight stems are collectively referred to as the "eight major stems in western Fujian".
