
Li Ju coupling, the daughter of Li Hongzhang, a major minister of the late Qing Dynasty, married Zhang Peilun in 1888. Li Ju coupled has a son and a daughter, the son of Zhang Zhiyi (Zhang Tingzhong), Zhang Ailing's father, that is, the boy in the photo; the girl in the photo is Zhang Maoyuan, that is, Zhang Ailing's often referred to "aunt".
