Aqua superPower is said to be the first operator in the world to provide a fast-charging network for marinas, shipbuilders and shipowners, harnessing electricity for water traffic and reducing the impact of boats on marine ecosystems.

The company has been promoting a network of marine fast chargers, recently installing one each on the French Riviera and the Italian Riviera and Venice, and plans to install 150 more charging piles next year, after which it will significantly expand its deployment.

Alex Bamberg

Alex Bamberg, CEO of Aqua SuperPower: "We chose to partner with Tritium because of their forward-thinking technology, advanced hardware architecture, and cost-effective operations. If we determine that we want to phase out liquid carbon fuels, we must work together to build a reliable and fast boat charging network for electric boat users. ”

Alex Bamberg adds: "Tritium's fully sealed design and clear user interface for DC fast charging inherently provide the ruggedness and ease of use needed for use in marine and freshwater environments. ”

Tritium's RTM fast charging products are an ideal solution for Aqua because it has two CCS ports and the ability to charge simultaneously, saving shipowners charging time. This has a particular advantage for commercial shipowners and operators, as this charging pile increases the frequency of boats operated, making electric boat technology more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Jane Hunter

Jane Hunter, CEO of Tritium, said: "The existing high-profile boat charging facilities in Monaco, Portofino and Venice, as well as the Aqua superPower and Tritium collaboration projects planned to be built in other parts of the world, will advance the electrification process of the maritime transport industry. Just as land cars have reached a tipping point, the future of the boat industry is electrification. The Aqua team has experience creating fast charging networks. We are excited to partner with them as a marine channel partner and provide technology to help them achieve their goal of creating a dedicated boat fast charging network." ”

Tritium's rugged, sealed hardware blends seamlessly with Aqua superPower's networking and user management technologies. If it is to be rolled out on a large scale, the electric boat ecosystem needs a simple and reliable user interface that makes it easy to find nearby charging piles.

Users can use Aqua superPower's charging network through Aqua security applications, RFID cards and contactless payment methods, and "plug and play" technology is expected in the future. The app allows users to view the charging pile options displayed on the map and provide navigation assistance to guide them past.
