PC Gamer has just announced their annual winner for the "Best Open World Game 2021" award, won by Playground's Forza Horizon 5.
PC Gamer editor-in-chief Phil Savage said Playground Games is once again piecing together a huge patch of theme parks. Here is the Baja Desert, where you can smash cacti to build a huge skill combo. There's a big crater, an active volcano, winding dirt roads and hillsides waiting for off-road stunts. There's jungle and farmland, and there's a big airslide that can be used for racing races.
In short, Forza Horizon 5's Mexico is a diverse car playground. In terms of structure, it's similar to australia and the UK before it: different biomes, more fun than real, and there's plenty of competitions, challenges, and collectibles to explore for hundreds of hours.
