Luntai County, Xinjiang: "One old and one small" happiness has been upgraded again

(Tianshan network reporter Reida pat Rezati Abdu) "Today there is my favorite pilaf, give me more." At noon on December 10, Amaiti Kasmu, a villager in Yingsu Village, Caohu Township, Luntai County, came to the Caohu Township Elderly Care Meal Assistance Center on time, looking at the fragrant pilaf, Amaiti couldn't help but let the kitchen lady fill a large bowl.

"Here, every day I eat in a different way, I eat fat." Aimati touched her round belly and smiled with a wrinkled face.

After lunch, the old people came to the activity room in pairs. Watching TV, playing poker, playing billiards, TCM therapy... The elderly started the afternoon activities according to their preferences.

"I came home for breakfast, worked out first, then watched TV and chatted. After lunch, I continued, and every day was very fulfilling. The children don't have to worry about us either, they can work outside the home to earn money. Abdul Reheman Ayiv, a villager in Aktikan Village in Caohu Township, who is doing leg treatment in a TCM treatment room, said.

"The feeding center was put into use in August this year, and 43 elderly people eat lunch here every day." Zuori Guli Sayim, deputy mayor of Caohu Township, said that the establishment of the meal assistance center has well solved the worries of those who are employed abroad. For the elderly who are inconvenient with their legs and feet and cannot come to the meal assistance center, there will be someone in the village to deliver food.

Saram Shawukaiti, the first secretary of Talrak Township in Kumudun Village, said: "In the past, 250 people in our village were employed outside the village, because the village was far from the county seat, and many people went out to work in the morning and could only come back at night. It is difficult for the elderly in the family to go out to work, and the meal assistance center solves everyone's worries. Today, the number of migrant workers has increased to more than 400. ”

At present, more than 50 elderly people eat lunch every day at the Tarlac Township Elderly Meal Assistance Center.

Today, in Luntai County, there are 23 elderly care centers such as Caohu Township and Tarlac Township.

"This year, we focus on vulnerable groups and focus on solving difficult problems among the elderly and minors. Regular health screenings, screening for chronic and severe illness and routine health care are carried out. Up to now, 771 elderly people in the county have benefited from it.

This year, in order to solve the problem of the "empty window period" of family education for stable employment groups and enrich the children's summer life, Luntai County has adopted household visits, publicity and guidance, voluntary registration and other methods to open extracurricular schools with homework counseling as the mainstay and interest classes as the supplement.

"My wife and I have been working outside the home, and on weekends we are worried, the children are not taken care of, and the homework is not tutored." Bai Keri Batur, a villager in Chaxianbai Village, Qunbak Town, Luntai County, said that since the village had an extracurricular school, the couple had a lot of peace of mind.

The extracurricular school mainly sets up courses such as gratitude education, daily life, communicative language, homework tutoring, art painting, safety precautions, etc., and adopts an edutainment method to enrich students' extracurricular life. "It's reassuring for children to be sent here, and we can earn money with peace of mind so that our children receive a better education." Bakri said.
