Which is important, clarity or fluency?
In fact, xiaomi pai has a generation of products before it, which is connected through the USB+HDMI interface, and the projection resolution is only 1080P/60HZ. In contrast, this generation has increased the resolution but reduced the frame rate, which is an upgrade? Or is it a reverse upgrade? For the 30-frame parameter, I was still more concerned at the beginning, so when I experienced it, I also focused on testing the picture effect of high quality and low refresh rate.
There is no very noticeable sense of delay when the window is dragged, but because it supports the corresponding rate of up to 30 frames, the lower frame rate will visually feel a little "stuck" when the window is dragged quickly. Will that have a big impact on fast-moving images? We also deliberately tried to use the screen caster to play videos, because videos and movies are basically shot at 30/24 frames, so there is no sense of stuttering when watching. However, when carefully comparing the colors of notebooks and TVs, we found that the screen caster can still ensure the correct information display under the bright picture, and the shadow details will be lost in the extremely dark scenes of the movie.

Movie test belongs to the limit test of screen projection quality, this display defect does not exclude the impact of HDR film source, as well as the decoding ability of the decoder and other factors, and the use of screen projection to watch movies is not in line with our habits.
The test seemed to measure something, but it didn't give the answer we wanted. Perhaps thinking about this problem, it should still need to return to the scene of the meeting.
In the conference scene, in fact, the static content displayed is often far more than the dynamic video, and the demand for dynamic content is to see the > picture quality, and the parameters of 4K/30 frames can reach the basic passing line. The size of the conference room projection equipment (TV, projector) is also getting larger, and most of them have reached a resolution of 4K. If the low resolution + large size display screen is combined, the picture quality will be degraded twice.

The above table is the bandwidth requirements under different transmission protocols, this transmission bandwidth is actually calculated by the amount of pixels * color depth * 3 * number of frames * sample compression ratio, if the 4K / 60 frames / 8bit video signal into the formula, 12Gbps is the lowest transmission rate (sample compression is 1), and this does not include the required bandwidth of audio. The maximum transmission rate of 5G WIFI is 1Gbps, and to achieve high picture quality transmission means to increase the sampling compression rate, reduce the image quality protocol or reduce the color depth. If you want to improve the image quality, it means that you need a more powerful compression decoding chip, which means higher cost.
Obviously, under the demand for large-screen high-density information in the conference scene, the priority is more important in terms of clarity and fluency and picture quality.

Low latency and high stability must be just needed in the conference scene, and the Xiaomi Paipai 4K HD screendropper is in such a scene demand, taking connectivity, convenience and adaptability as the primary indicators of the performance of the screendropper. Although the Xiaomi screendropper has some regrets in frame rate and color, in this specific scene, the focus of product design can also be seen.
