The plant will manufacture memory module PCBs with multiple memory chips mounted on a single board. Such PCBs are used for PCs, servers, and solid-state drives. Memory module PCBs currently account for up to 25% of Simmmtech's revenue. Simmtech's Malaysia plant was built in response to customer Micron's expansion of its facility in Southeast Asian countries.
However, the spread of the OPICron variant of COVID-19 is expected to lead to uncertainty about Simmmtech's ability to operate its Malaysian plant. (Proofreading | Value)
