AAC Technology and Xiaomi R&D team have overcome difficulties and created a "full-band four-yang stereo" solution tailored for Xiaomi 12 Pro. The scheme uses two cores, a combination of 2 woofers and 2 tweeters. It is worth mentioning that this is the first application attempt of Xiaomi's high-end MIX FOLD folding screen mobile phone, and the Siyang solution has been applied to non-folding screen mobile phones for the first time, creating an industry precedent in the field of mobile acoustics.
According to R&D engineers at AAC Technologies, the lack of stacking space for mobile phones is the core reason why it cannot carry multiple speakers. In response to this pain point, AAC Technology combines AME all-metal packaging technology to make the speaker BOX smaller in size, and the effect of shock absorption and sound leakage is better. Compared to conventional plastic BOXES, AME BOX (All-Metal Packaging Technology BOX) has a 13% reduction in height, a 9.2% reduction in width, a maximum total weight reduction of 12%, and a 13.5% increase in the equivalent rear cavity while reducing volume and weight, providing better low-frequency sound quality.
In the choice of woofers, AAC Technologies uses the ultra-linear speaker BOX, which has consistently performed well in improving the quality of the bass, with a maximum amplitude of 0.65mm and an equivalent rear cavity of 0.8cc, with greater amplitude and greater volume, while also ensuring less distortion and a more pleasant effect. When the two ultra-linear speakers BOX are sung together at the top and bottom of the phone, the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro becomes a veritable "smart subwoofer". The Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro has two tweeter BOXES built into AAC Technologies, pioneering the solution to this pain point. By placing it in the lower two positions on the fuselage, the tweeter BOX perfectly corrects the under-tuning phenomenon caused by side pronunciation, while the high frequency band is widened above 10kHz.
