The interpretation of prophecy in the Modern Chinese Dictionary is that it is said in advance about what will happen in the future. There is no doubt that almost all of us aspire to have the ability to foresee the future, because then we can prevent problems before they occur, avoid disasters, or mitigate the harm of disasters. So is there really such a person with the ability to foresee in the world?
More than four hundred years ago, there was a famous soothsayer in France named Nostradamus. He was able to foresee the future and wrote his prophecies in a book called The Centuries.
The prophetic power of Nostradamus is evident in these interesting stories below.

It is said that during his stay in Italy, Nostradamus had a relationship with a young monk who had raised pigs. When Nostradamus first saw the monk, he suddenly fell to his knees and shouted, "Ah, dear Master! Later, the young monk Perrit did indeed become the head of Sykeston V.
Norchadamus's prophecy came true in this way, and the prophecy in another story was even more tortuous.
At that time, a lord named Florambier, when he talked to Nostradamus about the question of prophecy, casually pointed to the two piglets in the courtyard and said, "Do you know what their fate is?" Nostradamus immediately replied, "The white piglet will be eaten by the wolf, and the black piglet will be your meal." Florambier immediately went to the kitchen and ordered the white pig to be killed for dinner.
Incredibly, however, the lord's vassals had a little wolf cub, and when no one was paying attention, they stole the pork. The next person had no choice but to take it upon himself to kill the black pig cub to make a dish and serve it to the table.
At dinner, Floranbier said proudly to Nostradamus, "The white pig is already at the table!" But Nostradamus did not show weakness, he still insisted on his prophecy: "It is not a white pig at the table, but a black pig." The two sides argued, so they had to call the next person to inquire. The next person thought that the matter was exposed, so he had to tell the truth.
Both stories are legendary, but Nostradamus's prophetic power is by no means merely anecdotal, at least the French Empress Catherine believes in him. In 1555, Nostradamus published one of the most famous prophecies written in the genre of ancient French poetry, entitled The Centuries. There are 942 poems in the book, and although there are some metaphors for planets and constellations, these prophecies were written by him when he entered a mysterious state by watching the crystal ball. Later, with miraculous prophecy powers, he was offered by The French Empress Catherine. During this period when Nostradamus lived on Queen Catherine's estate, he also accurately predicted the accidental death of Queen Catherine's husband, Harry II.
Not only that, but the miraculous Nostradamus could even predict his own death, saying that he was going to die on July 2, 1566, and the result was really fulfilled. Even more miraculously, before his death in 1566, he asked one of his friends to carve him a stone stele that never appeared in front of the world, and after his death, the stele was buried in his tomb. Everyone was curious about what this great prophet would carve on the stele, a secret known only to Nostradamus and his inscription friend. After the death of Nostradamus, friends also kept their promise never to publish the words on the tombstone.
Nostradamus's fame remains after his death. Curiosity grew, and in 1770 it was decided to dig up his tomb to see what was going on. After the tomb was opened, everyone present looked at each other and marveled, because the stone tablet was engraved with the four numbers "1770". It turned out that Nostradamus had already known that his coffin would be opened this year. The world has to sigh that Nostradamus is indeed a true prophet.
Both before and after his death, Nostradamus attracted admirers from all over the world, and after his death, the book "Centuries" became a book of prophecies highly respected by the world. The time span of prophecy is from the time in which he lived to the end of the world. Some researchers have "seen" predictions about many historical events (such as the French Revolution and the rise of Hitler) and important inventions (such as airplanes and atomic bombs) from the short poems in the book.
He had predicted that 100 years after his death, there would be a fire in London. He wrote: "Righteousness forced London to suffer a great fire in 1666. "Later, it was this year that London was so fierce that the whole city was almost reduced to ashes. Such coincidences made Nostradamus known to the world. Because it's amazing. At this time, it also happened to be 100 years after the death of Nostradamus. In addition, he predicted an uprising in France in 1792. On 27 July 1558, Nostradamus predicted an uprising against the Church in a letter to King Heli II. "The uprising will take place in 1792, when everyone thinks it will revolutionize the times," he noted. "This incident really happened and led to the atrocities in the French city of Nantes in 1792. At that time, 1,000 citizens who opposed the revolutionaries were either sent to the guillotine or stripped naked and drowned in the Loire. Norcha Danmas also accurately predicted the location of the event in his prophecy, saying: "The crying and groaning in the city of Nantes is unbearable. "It turned out to be the same.
Nostradamus was well-known not only in France, but also throughout Europe, and various editions of Centuries were distributed throughout Europe within 25 years of its publication. But because the poems in the book are obscure, non-experts can't crack them. Even because of his fame, many people in later generations used him to make false predictions for propaganda effects, such as Hitler.
However, for more than four hundred years, people have debated whether Nostradamus really has the power to predict, and some people affirm that after all, they have "seen" a lot of the history that happened later in his "Centuries", and some people are skeptical, they believe that in real life, the vast majority of people believe that their future can be changed through thinking and action. It is unclear whether Nostradamus's prophecy subtly affected those who were "said."
The flight of Louis XVI to Warren, the defeat of Napoleon, the death of Hitler, and the abdication of the King of Iran are all in the predictions of Nostradamus, and it is obviously impossible for one to think so long. It has also been argued that Nostradamus's prophecy is vague and too extensively described, and that there is no evidence of the authenticity of the prophetic poem, nor evidence that the prophetic poem actually describes a certain event. But whether broad or true, we later generations have indeed found a shadow of what happened after him in his poetry collection, whether we are seated or indeed said, and this kind of coincidence has to be taken seriously.
