Stamp designer Yuan Yishan: Designing stamps has made my understanding and feelings for the motherland deeper

Yuan Yishan is a stamp designer and engraver trained by China Post. The stamps she designed and carved were mostly based on traditional cultural themes, and "The 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China") was the first time she "touched" the design of stamps with political themes. The issuance of the commemorative stamp "The 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" is one of the top ten celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, which is of great significance. Yuan Yishan said with emotion that she was born in the early days of reform and opening up, a generation born at the right time, and personally felt the changes brought by reform and opening up to our country. "Especially in the new era, China has become stronger, allowing the people to share the dividends of national development, which has benefited all aspects of our lives." So when I finally had this opportunity to express the great achievements of New China over the years on the 'National Business Card', I did not hesitate to participate in it and painted this emotion of myself into the stamp. ”

However, it is difficult to condense the major changes and brilliant achievements that have taken place in the country in the past 70 years since the founding of New China, especially in the past 10 years, in a set of stamps. Yuan Yishan said that perhaps it is precisely because she is a novice in the design of stamps with political themes, it is easy to open without some inherent thinking modes and ideas. At the beginning of the design work, she started from the specific design requirements provided by the editor, and after careful study, she quickly clarified the design ideas and directions: that is, all the characters, scenes, elements, and breaking the concept of time and space were woven into a long scroll, designed into consecutive votes and adopted the compositional characteristics of the mural, which was both solemn and generous, and the style was fresh.

With patriotic enthusiasm, Yuan Yishan did her best to create, and the overall design was relatively smooth. The design inspiration of Xiao Zhang comes from the familiar "My Motherland and Me". "During that time, I commuted to work and took the bus, and this song was played on the bus, and every time I heard it, I felt a deeper feeling for the motherland." My motherland and I are like a sea and a wave", she said: "The sea, the waves and the giant ship that set sail symbolize the courage and strength of the Chinese people in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics to ride the wind and waves under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and forge ahead towards the great Chinese dream." ”

Talking about the design of the "70th Anniversary of the National Day" stamp for my own growth and business improvement, Yuan Yishan said: "Stamps have connected me with the motherland, it is not an exaggeration to say that during that time, in addition to taking children, I was full of thoughts about how to express the motherland in my heart. Every day at two o'clock and one line, all I hear and see are film and television works that reflect the achievements of new China's construction. "Through the design of this set of stamps, I learned that China's drones, high-speed rail, super rice and other technologies are already at the world's leading level, and I also feel the hard work of all the Chinese, which makes me love my country more!" Yuan Yishan said from the bottom of her heart, "Presenting the 70th anniversary of New China with the most beautiful stamps is not only me, but also the feelings of all our stamp people." ”
