Doucai Eight Treasure Pattern Folding Waist Bowl
This Doucai Eight Treasure Pattern Folding Waist Bowl from the Daoguang Period of the Qing Dynasty is now in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum. The bowl is 5.6 cm high and has a diameter of 20.4 cm. Inside and outside the bowl, the eight treasure patterns, the moon flower brocade pattern, the folded branch flower pattern, the ruyi pattern and so on are drawn by the bucket color process. At the bottom of the bowl, the six words "Great Qingdao Light-Year System" are written with a blue and white seal.
The Eight Treasures pattern is a traditional auspicious ornament and a typical porcelain decorative pattern with religious significance. The eight treasure patterns drawn on the folded waist bowl of this Doucai Eight Treasure Pattern are the talisman magic weapons of the Eight Immortals that are known as the Eight Immortals in China, which are fishing drums, swords, flower baskets, hedges, gourds, fans, yin and yang plates, and horizontal flutes.
If you want to know more about the Eight Treasure Pattern, you may wish to explore its traces with your family on weekends!
This issue of Cultural Heritage Weekly Study is the last edition of 2021, and I would like to thank my friends for their support and companionship over the past year.
