Emperor Taisho of Japan: He was accustomed to the "palace fights" of his elders and only wanted a stable harem

On August 31, 1879, a baby was born at the Aoyama Imperial Palace in Tokyo, his father was Emperor Munehito meiji, and his mother was Aiko Yanagihara. Although he was born noble, it was not easy for him to come into this world and survive. From the moment his mother conceived him, he became a "thorn in the eye and a thorn in the flesh" for many people...

How difficult it was for Jia Ren to come into this world.

Aiko Yanagisawa was born in Japan on May 31, 1855, the son of Mitsuai Yanagihara, a councilor at the end of the shogunate.

In 1873, at the age of 18, Aiko Yanagihara was given the title of "Kwon-no-shogun" and became a female official serving Muhito.

Which of the female officials who served around the emperor did not want to fly up the branches and become a phoenix? For women in the harem, the most effective means of ascending to the throne is to give birth to a prince. Although before Yanagihara Aiko ascended the throne, Muhito already had an empress dowager and several "concubines", none of them gave birth to a man who could inherit the throne, so as long as Yanagihara Aiko could give birth to a man, her path to advancement would be smooth...

Emperor Taisho of Japan: He was accustomed to the "palace fights" of his elders and only wanted a stable harem

In January 1875, she gave birth to the second imperial daughter, Prince Kaoru Umemiya, and in September 1877, she gave birth to the second crown prince, Prince Keishin, whether it was a natural disaster or a man-made disaster, the result was that both children died at the age of one, which was extremely unfavorable to Yanagihara Aiko, who wanted to stabilize the position of the harem.

At the end of 1878, the 23-year-old Yanagihara Aiko became pregnant again. Her three or two pregnancies inevitably attracted the jealousy of other palace concubines, so it was normal to make a little trick to try to hurt her. Legend has it that when Yanagihara Aiko was pregnant with Kahito, he was smeared with sesame oil on the steps... Fortunately, Jia Ren's life was great, and in August 1979, he came to this world safely...

A life of love with Kujo Setsuko.

The founding emperor of the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wen of Sui, Yang Jian, when he was young, also promised his beloved wife Dugu Jia Luo (Empress Wenwen) to "not have a different belly" and adhered to the promise of "monogamy", but after ascending the throne of God, he was still "not safe in the late festival", so that empress Wenwen ended up with hatred.

What Yang Jian did not do, Jia Ren did.

In fact, before Kujo Setsuko was made crown princess, the imperial family predetermined Fushimi Miyako's children as crown princesses.

In 1891, the imperial family began to search for a candidate for the 12-year-old Jia Ren for the crown princess. Emperor Meiji meant that the selection of crown princesses should be selected from the imperial family as much as possible. After much recommendation and discussion, in 1893, Fushimi Miyako's children were made crown princesses. Only later, the emperor's imperial doctor said that the king of the zhen children had lung disease, so in order to reproduce the descendants of the royal family, he canceled the marriage contract with the king of the zhen children. (In 1899, jiaren's marriage contract was dissolved)

Later, the imperial family's request for the crown prince Jiaren to choose a concubine became good health and good personality. As a result, the dark-skinned Kujo Jiezi became the candidate for the crown princess.

In 1900, at the age of 21, Kahito officially married Kujo Setsuko as crown princess.

Growing up in Kahito, his mother, Aiko Yanagihara, was never the favored person next to his father Mujin. In the second year after Kahito's birth, Mujin found a new favorite, Senzo Renzi, and in 1885 met the most beloved "concubine" of his life, Yuan Xiangzi... Jiaren, who is accustomed to watching harem battles, does not want to be like his father, "only to see the new people laugh and not to see the old people cry", so he still insists on "monogamy" under heavy pressure, and loves the nine festivals alone in his life.

The reason why Jia ren can withstand the pressure is also because Jiezi's stomach is more contentious. In the second year after their marriage, Setsuko and Kahito gave birth to their eldest son, Prince Hirohito of Tsumiya, and later Prince Yongren of Jungong, Prince Xuanren of Guanggong, and Prince Chongren of Chenggong. It is rare in Japanese history to have four sons, so Setsuko's prestige in the imperial family has also increased with the increase of heirs.

In 1926, at the age of 47, Emperor Kahito died, and the only thing he could not rest assured of was his beloved wife, Kujo Setsuko.

The Emperor who has been tormented by illness all his life.

Although Jiaren's life was short, he was also extremely lucky compared to his brothers and sisters who died early. But his whole life has been a struggle against death from birth.

In 1879, when Yanagihara Aiko gave birth to Kajin, she unfortunately had difficulty giving birth, although it was not life-threatening, but When Kahito was born, she was full of rashes all over her body, her body was particularly weak, and she often had symptoms of spasms and vomiting. Under the careful care of the imperial doctor Asada Munehiro and others, he barely saved his life, but unfortunately suffered from meningitis.

After taking the throne, Jiaren's physical condition continued to deteriorate, making it difficult not only to perform royal official duties, but also to support daily life. So in 1920, the imperial family announced the physical condition of Emperor Taisho Kahito, and in 1921, he was regent of his eldest son, Hirohito, who was only 20 years old, and he began a convalescent life. Even so, it did not save his deteriorating health, and 5 years later, Jia Ren died.

Jiaren's life is not long, but it is also wonderful. He was made crown prince at the age of 11, married Tojo Setsuko at the age of 21, promoted to father at the age of 22, enthroned as emperor at the age of 33, and died at the age of 47. If there are any regrets in his life, it should be that the time spent with empress Jiezi is too short...
