Some time ago, Tp shared his customized LEGO doll in the new gadget, and I naturally will not miss the opportunity to customize the doll at my doorstep in Guangzhou. So after making an appointment with Tp, I finally had a unique LEGO figure.
The steps to customize a doll are simple, mainly the following steps:
purchase
Shop for a LEGO minifigure factory set at the cash register.
Taking the LEGO flagship store in Guangzhou as an example, if you want to customize a doll of your own, you must first go to the cash register to buy a LEGO minifigure factory set, the price is 99 yuan / piece. After completing the payment, the staff will hand themselves a packaging box, take the box to the customization desk for scanning, and start customizing. If you go with a large number of people, you may need to check in with the staff first, and may limit your customization time.
Personalization
Scan the kit on the minifigure factory machine, enter your name, and start designing.
Put the purchased box on the customization table, the screen will appear "Enter your name" prompt, the system built-in Chinese input method and support Chinese mixing. Entering the name will print on a 1x3 brick that can be used as a platform for the minifigure.
After starting to customize, we can design the front and back of the minifigure top, and the head, pants, hairstyle and accessories do not support customization, and need to go to the accessories area separately to choose. The minifigure's customization interface is very intuitive and clear, we can choose the style of the clothes, but also by hand drawing, adding text (support Chinese and English, you can choose bold / thin body) or click on the pattern options given on the custom machine to design.
The doll factory will provide regionally limited patterns according to the city where they are located, for example, in Guangzhou, there will be "Pretty Boy / Pretty Girl", "Sweep over cane" or even "Have to drink tea", which are very local patterns.

In the process of customization, we can reduce the doll to a size of 1:1 through the zoom in/out button, which is convenient to see the actual effect in advance and avoid the problem of being too small to see clearly because the pattern is too small. In addition, in the process of designing clothes, we can add multiple patterns in the same position, and the default added after will be overlaid on the pattern added before, if you want to have the effect of multiple patterns superimposed, be sure to check carefully after customization to avoid the situation that the pattern you want to put on it is covered (I am like this).
Pick accessories
When printing your minifigure, pick the minifigure's components and accessories.
Once customised, we can go to the BAM minifigure platform to pick up the minifigure head, legs, hairstyles and accessories. When choosing, we can first select a few different components and accessories, and then build the tops on the spot to see the effect. Of course, we only had 3 components and 1 accessory in the end.
Receive
See your name on the screen and wait to claim your own minifigure!
After completing the "creation", we can also preview the pattern on the front and back of the figure again (be sure to check it clearly), and after confirming it, the pattern will be transferred to the print table. Take the minifigure and wait until your name is marked as completed on the print booth screen and you can go to the staff to claim it. After claim, the staff will combine the accessories you have selected into a doll and pack them into a doll box. In addition to the accessories of your own choosing, you will also get a 1x3 white brick with your name and "LEGO + Place Name" printed on it.
Build your own pellets
In every LEGO store (whether flagship or authorized), there will be a PAB (Pick-A-Brick) particle wall for players to freely select particles from the pellet wall of their choice to create their own MOC (My Own Creation) work.
There are two ways to choose your own building pellets, the first way is to choose through the "full cup of pellets", the store provides two sizes of cups, which are 89 yuan standard cup and 159 yuan large cup. Players can choose the cup that suits them and go to the particle selection area to select the right particles. As long as you can close the lid, no matter what parts you choose and how much quantity you choose, you can settle at a price of 89 yuan / 159 yuan.
Once you've completed your purchase, you'll need to take the parts cup to the cashier to check out, and the clerk will tape you to the top.
If you only want to buy a small number of specific parts, or want to take home a MOC piece on the spot, the LEGO flagship store also offers a weigh-pay service. All you need is to select the pellets you need or complete the building directly at the PAB and then weigh them at the cashier for 0.7 yuan / g. By the way, if you pay more attention in the store, you may also find some PAB works that the clerks have spelled out, which are usually sold at a price of 0.7 yuan / gram + 10 yuan for a handicraft fee, suitable for friends who are too lazy to do it themselves.
Mosaic pixel painting customization
