Shubo Motin was named to cameroon's Africa Cup of Nations squad and will remain absent from the Bundesliga

23 Dec (23 Dec) -- Bayern Munich substitute centre-forward Shubo Motin was named to cameroon's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations early next year, meaning he is likely to remain absent from the Bundesliga.

In mid-November this year, Shubo-Motin was forced into quarantine due to the new crown virus. After the release of the quarantine, due to the impact of the sequelae of the new crown, the physical condition did not meet the requirements of the game, and the Cameroonian forward has been absent from the game so far. Now that he has been named to Cameroon's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations that starts next month, it means that Shubo Motin may not be able to return to the Bundesliga until after February next year.

Cameroon is the host of the Africa Cup of Nations, and they will open the match on January 9 against the Burkina Faso national team. Cameroon is one of the favourites to win the title, with the Africa Cup of Nations final taking place on February 6 in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon.

It is reported that many of Europe's top clubs are not very willing to let the African players in the team participate in the African Cup of Nations this time. On the one hand, it is worried that players will be infected with the new crown virus, on the other hand, the absence of key players will seriously affect the team's performance.
