Shooting from three of the second quarter, Jamekau Green scored five straight points, and Rozier scored three points to counter-score three points with McDaniels. Bridges made a layup, Jokic hit inside, three of his three free throws, and Jokic responded with a three-pointer. Three goals and Jokic continued to score two points each, Oubre and Barton scored a three-pointer, Barton hit a shot, and the two teams continued to maintain a 19-point gap in attack. Smith hit a layup and ended the third quarter with the Hornets trailing the Nuggets 77-94. In the first three quarters, the Hornets scored in double figures, Bridges and three goals averaged 16 points, the Nuggets scored in double figures, and Jokic scored 23+20+5.
