Some time ago in the office, colleagues were talking about an animation called "Deer Elf", which was no less powerful than the emergence of any phenomenon-level variety show or TV series. It's interesting that both colleagues with children and young single colleagues who don't even have boyfriend and girlfriend are among the people discussing it. Some time ago, just during the Spring Festival, I put down my weekday work, and finally I could rest at home, and suddenly I was interested, so I also searched on the Internet to take a look. I have been doing children's related programs for so long, and the theme of the cartoon is also to do one issue after another, and I have not watched the cartoon at home quietly like a child. And this time, I watched all 26 updated episodes in one sitting. After watching it, the first sentence I want to say is: domestic animation is now so good-looking!
As a cartoon that can make me such a big friend who is so over-aged and so much strong pressed on the sofa to watch the full set, it is difficult to look away from the cultural meaning, character settings and details, and then I will share my viewing experience, I hope you can also like "Deer Elf".
As far as I know, the early creation of "Deer Spirit" was completed by foreign creative teams, and later created by the top production teams in China. The collision and fusion of Chinese and Western ideas and cultures has laid the foundation for this cartoon to be well-known.
Speaking of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, there are also various embodiments in this cartoon: "deer" in the long history of our country, mostly a symbol of enterprising and spirituality. The protagonist in the cartoon is a descendant of the Nine-Colored Deer King. The legend of the nine-colored deer itself also comes from the "Deer King Bunsheng" in the Dunhuang murals in China. And it is such a protagonist Xiaolu, who has a deep Chinese ancestry, but has a very Westernized name called Deer, which sounds very foreign and cute. Deer is not only deer in English, but also pronounced as dear, catchy and punable, which shows the intentions of the production team in Chinese and Western culture.
In addition, the "five states" mentioned in the cartoon also have a deep cultural meaning. The five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth itself are the core elements that run through traditional Chinese culture, representing the Chinese nation's understanding of the natural world and themselves, in the animation of "Deer Spirit", the five elements are given to the five major states that the protagonist passes through: "JintieZhou", "Lingmu Prefecture", "Xiushui Prefecture", "Agni Prefecture", "Houtu Prefecture", each place has a unique scenery and story, and there is a corresponding method to break through the difficulties. The culture contained in it is even attracted by our big friends, and the children will be attracted by the colorful pictures, and at the same time, they will form a bundle and combination with the knowledge inside, and truly achieve edutainment.
Secondly, what attracted me to Deer Elf was the cute characters in it. Deer is a young, energetic and righteous deer, Sapphire is a resourceful, clever and brave little monkey, Mustard is a mighty and majestic and petite glutton, Meow sister is a high-cold cat, Trench Brother is a righteous yak, and Leah is a gentle and determined firebird. And even if it is a villain, they are all stupid and cute. Wang Daming was dumbfounded, always trying to find trouble for Deere, but often either fell down the mountain or was teased... It is these positive and negative characters with very different personalities put together, and the storyline of the scene that is ridiculous and entertaining attracts me to watch it all the time.
Full of positive energy is also the biggest feature of this cartoon. Every time I look at a while, I can't help but stop. Think of the evocative moments in the plot just now: for example, in the fourth episode, King Data uses the most powerful and aggressive animal, the Fanged Diving Bird, to thwart Deer and his friends' quest for relatives. However, in the real confrontation, Dill found that it was this "fanged diving bird" that looked the most ferocious, which may not be bad in nature, but was used by the King of Da. So the fanged diving bird, which had been helped by Deer, turned to evil and good, and instead of harming Deere and his friends, he went back to demonstrate to King Dada.
There are many small details in "Deer Spirit" that can especially make those of us who are parents or about to become parents feel at ease and warm. For example, if there is a dangerous scene such as jumping into a pond to take a bath, or jumping over a mountain, there will always be a "dangerous action, please do not imitate" in the prominent position of the picture. In this way, it is far from the occurrence of improper imitation by children in real life; there are also various popular science knowledge points such as "solar flares", which greatly enrich the knowledge of children. If I were a child, I would have asked my parents or teacher what the sun flare was. Even if I'm a big friend now, can anyone tell me what a solar flare is...
In the end, if I had to sum up the above, it is that "Deer Spirit" is a very well-made and sincere domestic animation film. It is not only suitable for children to watch daily, but also suitable for you who choose cartoons for children. I believe that after you read it, you will definitely have as many feelings as I do.
