The academic seminar on "The Origin of Traditional Festivals and Culture in Jilin Province" was held in Jilin Provincial Library

At 9:00 a.m. on December 21st, the academic seminar on "The Origin of Traditional Festivals and Culture in Jilin Province" was held in the conference room of the East District on the fifth floor of the Jilin Provincial Library, and special experts from the Provincial Library, the Provincial Folk Writers Association, the Provincial Guandong Historical and Cultural Research Association, the School of History and Culture of Changchun Normal University, and the Provincial Library of Literature and Classics attended the academic seminar.

At the seminar, 8 scholars, including Cao Baoming, chairman of the Provincial Folk Writers Association, professor Xue Gang, deputy dean of the School of History and Culture of Changchun Normal University, and other 8 scholars, with the theme of "The Origin of Traditional Festivals in Jilin Province", published their research results on related topics such as "The Characteristics of Jilin Traditional Festivals", "The Origin and Development of Jilin Traditional Festivals and Traditional Culture in the Central Plains", and "The Cultural Connotation of Jilin Traditional Festivals".

As an important position of cultural dissemination, over the years, the provincial library has been actively playing an important role in providing lifelong education for the whole people, with the development concept of "actively integrating into society and actively adapting to society", in line with the principle of "platform sharing and benefit sharing", integrating and utilizing social forces, and carrying forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and highlighting the social value of cultural people with public welfare exhibitions, lectures, reader activities, and literary and economic colleges as the carrier. The provincial map is willing to build a communication platform for experts and scholars in various fields, so that the academic research results of northeast regional culture can go out of the ivory tower and fly into the homes of ordinary people.

In their speeches, the scholars conducted extensive research and discussion on the traditional festivals in Jilin Province, covering the traditional origins and characteristics of the Northeast New Year Festival, the cultural connotation of the Chongyang Festival and the changes that have occurred since it spread to Jilin Province, the reconstruction of ethnic festivals and rural ethical culture in Jilin Area, the investigation of the Spring Festival customs of the Changchun Traditional Festival, the relationship between the Northeast New Year Festival and ethnic culture, and the study of village culture, folk art and the Northeast New Year Festival in Jilin Province. The regional characteristics were sorted out, the characteristics of traditional Chinese festivals in Jilin were explored, the relationship between traditional festival culture and social life was explored, and the depth and breadth of jilin regional culture research were greatly expanded, and the seminar achieved fruitful scientific research results.

In the future, we will unite more experts and scholars to continuously dig deeper and carry out the inheritance and innovation of Jilin regional characteristic culture, and make due contributions to the revitalization of Jilin and enhance cultural self-confidence.
