According to Spain's "World Sports Newspaper", Brazilian left-back Marcelo has been playing for Real Madrid for 14 years, and is the longest player to play for the same team in La Liga.
This season marks Marcelo's 14th season for Real Madrid, and he also tops the list of seasons in which active La Liga players have played for the same team, only Osasuna's San Horjo has the same season length as Marcelo, although Osasuna has experienced La Liga during his time in La Liga.
Behind Marcelo are Pique and Busquets, both of whom played for Barca for 13 seasons. Benzema (Real Madrid), Munyain (Athletic Bilbao) and Mayo (Celta) played for their respective teams for 12 years.
