Zhao Meixin said that the "Congressional APP Challenge" is a national programming competition for middle school students, which she held for the first time this year, with a total of 9 student teams participating in the competition, a total of 7 teams that won the award, and the first place was Wu Anshi, a High Chinese student in the Alhambra, whose work is called "Plastic Problem", which is a game of garbage collection, inspiring people to protect the environment and not litter, and the work will be displayed in Congress.

Several other Chinese students also achieved excellent results, with the award for best technology being won by Mathew Lee, a san Marino high school student named "Octavo," a software that helps music lovers practice making sounds. Chinese siblings Alyssa Ho and Chang Ho jointly developed "Full Steam Ahead", "Goodbye, Pressure" by Kaitlyn Yeung, and "Zombie Invasion" by Nick Li won the "Winner Award" respectively.

Zhao Meixin said that the APP Challenge was launched in 2016, the purpose of holding this competition is to encourage middle school students to learn STEM knowledge and cultivate their interest in science, she is happy that so many Chinese students have come out to participate and achieved gratifying results, the judges of this competition are composed of experts from JPL Aerodynamic Laboratory.
